Yeah Rey does deserve better infact it was hinted at between her Finn it wasn't hinted at between her and Kylo Ren that romance between them came out of nowhere and that kiss wasn't even romantic even JJADAMS said so infact Daisy Ridley's character hated Kylo Ren so why did they get them together romantically instead of getting Finn and Rey together romantically? Kylo Ren and Rey should of been related instead each other's love interests between them it wasn't even hinted at between them Finn and Rey romance between them was especially in Force Awakening. Hopefully in Rey's new Star Wars movie Finn and Rey will get that romance between them that should of happen between them in the Rise of the Skywalker instead of a force romance between Kylo Ren and Rey

Creators don't have a clue how to write a story anymore! 🙄 One of the writers probably read a Star Wars fanfiction that was even written better and tried to imitate it in this series. There is also some pretty gruesome scenes....I guess Star Wars is not supposed to be for a younger audience anymore.

It was kinda nostalgic and bizzare finding your content, Jon! I am still a young woman but talking about Reylo makes me feel like decades of my life have come and gone XD. I have been a fan of the ship since 2016, researched, debated, read fanfic, and speculated like crazy. I was OBSESSED. But when disney abandoned it (wrongfully both story-wise and profit-wise) I literally had to GRIEVE it-- a fictional ship!! That's when I realized what an idol it had become in my life. I saw on your bio that you're a Christian so maybe you understand. I would be ecstatic for you, the reylo fandom, and my teenage self if disney resurected Ben Solo, but personally I'm almost glad that Reylo has died a slow death both literally and in popularity. I needed to move on with my life! But yeah on the subject of popularity, from my observations over the years, Reylo was massively popular with the general audience during the release years of the sequels (when seeing the newest SW movie was what you did with your cousins/friends during Christmas). The general audience's loyalty or memory of the ship in the year of our lord 2024, however? I'm not so sure Reylo holds the same weight now as when those polls were taken.

Rey will never be a palpatine in my head cannon. The message of the galaxys hero being some random scavenger with alcoholic parents from a backwater planet was perfect. Palpatine could have still wanted to use her for her power, most of the story would have been exactly the same without this bullshit

My only theory is that Adam Driver said he wasn’t coming back, but as you said, Star Wars exists outside the movies. Removing him from the canon and stifling any future books or anything is super lame. Driver was phenomenal but outside of him it’s still a really great character.

Now THIS is what we want for Rey’s movie!
