this game can pretty much get to play itself if you know what you're doing. don't try to *control* it, just *supervise* it... it WILL go on it's merry way whenever it likes, so don't fight it. assume everything will go to worse at every turn, and work from there: find the most immediate threat and work it out. once you have a plan, execute that plan to completion... don't leave things half done, otherwise your pawns will be split between tasks. from which point stems, that everything can be worked down to numbers. *MATH* the shit out of it: figure out how long the day lasts, keep track of your pawns moods, set up a routine so they don't work overtime (or DO overwork them if they get happy, for extra produce), etc. start from a compact build, so things get moved around quicker. put someone to train their construction by making beds and seats for comfort, get to make quality furniture and equip your whole base... more quality furniture means better rest, less mood swings, and more overall production. in short *PROVIDE* for your people! once you play this, you'll have a much different view on how politicians should behave.
