Philoctetes cave,Lemnos,Greece
Philoctetes was the son of King Poias of Thessalia. One legend tells that Philoctetes was a friend of Heracles . When Heracles was fatally poisoned by wearing a shirt smeared with Hydra's blood, he built his own bonfire and no one but Philoctetes had the courage to light the fire. As a thank you, the Philoctetes received Heracles' bow and arrows, which were such that they killed everything he fired at. He is also briefly mentioned in Homer's great epic poem about the Trojan War, the Iliad . During the campaign against Troy, Philoctetes was left on Lemnos by the Greeks on their way to Troy. This chapel of Panagia has its name from the mountain Kakavos in which it is found. It's in a mountain cave. For precision under a recess forming the rocks. It is the only world wide church without a roof. It was built by monks ascetics of the caves of the mountain. The church is owned by the monastery of Megisti Lavra of the Holy Mountain from the year 1305.

Glarentza was important fortified town and port in the Peloponnese at the time of the Franks. Built by the Villehardouins the Principality of Achaia, the site of ancient Kyllini in Ilia during the 13th century. In 1430 Constantine Paleologos tearing down the walls to stop the constant recapture. After the Ottoman conquest of the Morea, the Glarentza loses its previous glory.

I was there.
Clermont is the name of that beautiful castle not "Chlemoutsi". It wasn't built by the Crusaders, it was built by the Prince of Morea Geoffroi de Villehardouin. The Crusaders had conquered the Morea from 1205-1210, the French knights (not "Frankish" at this period, this is not the Carolingian period!) had settled down and were building tens of castles like Mistra, Port de Jonc, Calame, Beauvoir, le Grand Magne.... in the Morea and in the other French territories such as Thebes, Athens and further north.
I will disagree with you only about the name. for the rest you can make your objections-corrections on wikipedia. The French called it Clermont, the Italians called it Castel Tornese, but you forget that it is in Greece, and here (xekola) we call it Chlemoutsi. the root of the word is in Clermont, but if you look for it in the area like that, they will most likely send you to a bar.

There are no findings indicating religion. The name of the rock is not related to the findings in the cave. Bones of humans and animals have been found, footprints, ceramics, shells, a unique gold jewelry, stone tools, seeds. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theopetra_cave

Fake ass dumb "church" created only as a means to bring tourism, and therefore money, to the area.
tourists go to Akropolis and to the islands! so they waited 10,20,30 years for the trees to grow and to get a few drachmes and later euros ? budmeister,first go there,have a look,try to think and you wont open your mouth and say bs .
