Thanks for posting this. There's so little score in the movie (it has to be less than ten minutes) but I love it.

People don’t realise this was horror but a horror movie taken to a whole new level. This had the element of gremlins and munchies. The gremlins were a little evil creatures that were mischievous and the munchies, particularly liked eating people. To me critters is a classic.

If I did a remake of the series, the first one should be exactly like how John Hughes visioned it, and the second film should be something new that no one would know about yet, and that music should be used as an opening to the sequel as well.

I love how a little bit of "Rescuing Sarah" from The Lost World: Jurassic Park by John Williams appears starting at 1:15. That little bit of music always felt so epic to me, and Don Davis did a great remixing it here, as well as on this whole score.

I had the Varese Soundtrack LP. That first Track always especially grabbed me. When I was alone at Home I watched the Movie in the living Room of my Parents in the wonderful childhood 80s. It somewhat made me feel uneasy and disturbed me even. Hence I did not like it. I had never seen it again. But I am excited to see it again now.
