~ The city of London, the Year is 1893 ~ This is not the romantic Victorian metropolis we’ve come to know at the end of our 19th Century. Rather, it is a steampunk world that H.G. Wells or Jules Verne would have imagined. The last fifty years have brought advancements in just about every aspect of human endeavor. The world has harnessed the might of steel and the power of steam. Men have conque...

Wanted to buy this Sword so hard but then i hit this Video...
Overpriced Indian made junk, butter soft steel. I got rid of my Atlanta smatchet and don’t miss it!!
listening to a mariah carey song is about as informative on swords as this guy is
I have a hand and a half sword and can absolutely attest to the fact that it is not a sword made for attacks against heavy armor. However, I have successfully used it to cut through some rather thick branches without damage to the edge, leading me to believe it would indeed inflict a good amount of damage on leather armor or the like.
Mall ninja
We need a strength test
Everyone who lives in Birmingham nowadays needs this. Maybe with a shield and some armor.
0:35... or, you chose not to do that, and you use your rapier as an actual rapier. Doing a wrist cut with a rapier doesn't imply cutting your own wrist with a blade attached to the pommel. 😑 Look, I got here by looking for info on a particular rapier. I don't know if the focus of this channel is on fantasy cosplay weapons. But, for anyone considering edgelord weapons, just look at what is an actual rapier, spend one hour learning the basics for its use, and you will have more fun with the real thing than whatever "slash on the way back" is supposed to be.
Good show.
I have 3 Primitive Bowies, they're fast and maneuverable as well as sharp! Used one for cutting practice for years on an 80lb punching bag, had to file the edge off to keep duct tape repair costs down. I did 8 angle cut drills, 5 times(40 cuts) per set, 20sets per workout 3X a week for years with so issues, These knives are tough! No doubt a bad one goes out occasionally as happens to all products.
and.... bell sound ?
Medici is pronounced at the first syllable!
Looks like a Cold Steel Bowie?🤔
It looks very much like the 1917 frontier bowie. I think I heard that windlass makes that one for cold steel
Yeah, I'd like an explanation on this. It's clearly a Cold Steel Frontier Bowie which are made in India, I believe. That said, the Windlass touch ups are real nice and make it a bit more than how the CS Frontier comes.... but not sure how I feel about losing the open finger choil. I wonder why one is under CS and this one Windlass....
Because Windlass makes the 1917 Bowie for Cold Steel, I prefer the full tang and scales on the BattleCry Bowie to the Cold Steel 1917
Shits on the cold steel variation!
@@richardsveum8452 the 1917 is also full tang
I like it 😁
Nice !👽👍
Completly amazing! I love it!
Need
I have the Confederate Bowie, it's a helluva chopper and razor sharp too.
Beautiful knife. 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍
Great sword and technique! Thank you !
Lovely knife, but um, how are you supposed to carry it? There's no belt loop, boot/belt hook, retention stud, or anything to carry it anywhere on the body. And if you just stick it down your boot as is, you're going to the emergency room for stitches.
Fairbairn has a tendency to break when using it the smatchet is more useful well not break the tip of the knife its better then using piano wire great video wheelchair Larry
Sehr gute Präsentation. Hab es mir gerade gekauft 😊
I love it. Epic fight against a dead tree. And additionally he kicked it. Just great.
1st Comment!!!!!!!!!!!!
i broke it the day i got it. knife didnt last 10 hits on a tree in my back yard before the bone handle shattered. i made a metal handle out of steel pipe and ground down a pvc pipe to shove in the new handle as a centering sleeve for the rat tang. then epoxy filled the pvc sleeve before threading the pommel on the tang. the balance of the knife has been brought to the handle now and i added a half pound to the overall weight. but at least now i have a knife that can do yard work and tolerate a bit of bushcraft and batoning. the blade, guard and pommel are excellent and fit together great. the bone handle is the weak point. if you are handy and have experience fixing rat tang knives then get this knife. also the false edge is not sharpened. hope this review helps someone.
Just received mine great quality, super fast delivery, excellent work guys
I have the sword and though a little heavy compared to the originals ( 1.1kg + versus 700 grams for originals) its an ok sword, the only real criticism’s are the guard, the hole for the blade is just a cut rectangle which leaves gaps around the blade that are filled with epoxy instead of being forged to fit the blades profile and the scabbard is very basic, leather with metal end caps but then you can always make a better one yourself. My blade was covered in a thick layer of renaissance wax to protect it from corrosion but even though its been cleaned a few times each time it goes back in the scabbard it seems to get a fresh coat. Also comes with a leather frog which allows you to put it straight on your belt without having to buy anything else.
How tall are you?
I may buy one. Hopefully the $100 pricetag doesnt dissapoint
It's made by Windlass... It will disappoint.
@@hookerfooker4281thinking of getting one myself. Mind explaining?
I just received one today. It was quite dull, it took me close to an hour to bring it to a useful edge. The sheath was also not great, I'm gonna have to let it soak in water overnight and store the blade in it until it dries to get it to mold correctly.
i have an original hunters companion from I*XL, made in the 1850s-60s with mother of pearl scales german silver bolsters and guards and is brass lined, its nowhere near as big as the one shown here but then when bowies began they were the size of kitchen butcher knives and not these monstrous things called "bowie" knives today
Nice piece.. Worth having and you could always buy an original one if required..
Is it functional? Will rust appear without maintenance?
That's a beautiful sword
I have this sword. It's nice. I feel like if I needed an actual melee weapon for the apocalypse, I'd grab this one before any others. Sheath is a bit cheap, but it firs well and allows them to cut the cost.
Thank u Travis bear
AKA Michael Myers's Bowie knife from Rob zombie's Halloween 2 move. Too bad it's discontinued.
It isn't? I just ordered one online
I own one as I was interested to see a sword of the Agincourt period. I would definitely recommend this sword as it is a visual link to the past.
problem is not all the repro bayonets fit
Just bought it, did not fit my gun
I don't see any of this on the website. Did I miss it somehow?
Beware. I purchased one of these years ago and was disappointed to find the pommel spray painted silver and the handle scales uncomfortably square. I reshaped the handle to remove the sharp corners and finally got it usable. Unfortunately, the silver paint was added to cover up serious porosity in the cast aluminum pommel....It looks like swiss cheese. The scabbard is thin leather over wood. Adequate for storage but, the retention strap is a loose fit and the belt loop was assembled while wet and it lifted the finish off the sheath backing underneath the first time I threaded it on a belt. On one hand, kudos the ATL/MR for producing a version but, I expected more for nearly $100.
Looks like a cheap piece of shit. If the steel was any good they'd tell you what it is....
1055
good
This is a great period boot knife’ suffices well for a gamblers back up , stuff in boot, in a sash’ or add a stud to it like i did to keep it secure in your belt line, nice and thin’ would make for a helluva nice fighter as the balance is awesome for slash cuts and the blade thickness is thin enough to slide between ribs and bones and one hell of a slasher’ also makes for an awesome food prep blade as well.
I have that shield.
I Have just bought one of these! It is a beautiful, well made knife pretty much the epitome of a Bowie!
Is it possible to visit your store in person on site

Hearing you pronounce Maldon that way is hilarious. Maldon is a few miles away from me and pronounced more like Maul-don.
Just up the road in Chelmsford and we pronounce it Mould-on.
