@@AbsoluteFidelity It depends on how a track was engineered. But normally it should be good until 94 db. I have never tried beyond that, because 94 db is plenty enough.

I highly recommend this product. I ended up using six units of Macro Gs in my house. The actual sound is so much better than the clip. I have tried so many of this kind of products, Macro G wins all other ethernet grounding(RJ45) products at it’s price range, by far. And plus, you can always make further upgrades later, by upgrading it’s power cord, and the lan cables connecting to Macro G. But don’t use two different-level lan cables on the same Macro G, the better one will be held back by the worse one.

What’s your take on real dedicated grounding ? I’m working on actually installing Dual full copper 101 ground rods , outside of my listening room . Thank you and good luck with your system . Impact of sound in your video is incredible , I can imagine how good it sounds in the room.

The 5.1+ is just to be moved to my bedroom. It’s not connecting to anything, except the power distribution with a power cord.

This is aways subjective. Burn in period is very crucial. My X3s sounded very different after a month. And yes, they sound very different from Marten and Dynaudio, which Im very familiar with all of them, but at the same price range, Marten and Dynaudio are never in my consideration, although I have a very close relationship with Marten’s importer in my country(with 35-40% discount from the retail prices). May be, Im too used to Borresen speakers, because I own three models of them lol.

@@tanachait1 I was also very interested in Borresen or Raidho. So far I auditioned Borresen: Z1, Z3 and X3. Powered by Aavik electronics: amp, dac, streamer and Ansuz cables. Overall, some $50.000 just in electronics and cables. I wanted to love it, but for some reason didn’t. Not saying they’re bad product, of course, but just not for my taste. As for Marten, those guys make great speakers, but somehow ridiculously price policies. If you want 3 way Marten speaker you must pay $50.000 or so. And then they come with 30-40% discounts, and expect us customers to be extra happy paying left arm and leg for speakers 😊 Borresen X3 comes with really fair price. Regards and no hard feelings, it is hobby and we just share our opinions and experience

I agree. I bought a pair of O3 Silver Edition, a pair of O1, and two pairs of X3.

According to my taste, with limited budget, I think tube is more peasant, but with higher budget, I would prefer solid state.

The tweeters go up to 50KHz.

They are the very opposite. But most people aren't used to such precise and fast response, unless some specific live background is going on. I had this issue with Accuton drives years ago. They were so fast by comparison to the usual stuff around, something seemed lacking. Only with measurements were we able to show people that other speakers added various distortions to the sound. But by ear alone, most people would not pick them on the spot.

@@howardlu2002 These kinds of things are always subjective, depends on individual’s taste. Anyway, at this price range, for me personally, I cannot think of any better speakers, as so many reviewers said. But if you are a tube lover, Living Voice is a really good one, with much lesser bass.

@howardlu2002 Another speaker you should consider is Devore Fidelity's Gibbon Super Nine. I've read excellent reviews only and they work with tube and solid state either. Their design is similar to Living Voice's, but with deep and profound bass. As my next speaker upgrade, the Gibbon Super Nine is top of my list - as well as the Borresen X3, Trenner & Friedl Pharoah and Canton Reference 3, all about the same price range (in Germany). I am looking forward to auditioning them all after having seriously talked to my bank consultant around Christmas time next year 😇

Fast controlled lower end always needs some used to unless you have a background of live music and at that point you can't listen to "artificial" added lower end speakers with as much enjoyment as would do with these speakers.

Sorry, I’m not a fan of Magico. I know that Magico is a world class brand. But their M series disappointed me a lot, mainly because of their lack of organic feeling, which is very important to me. It might has something to do with aluminum resonances, which many people seem to like them, but I don’t. However, these things are always subjective. We can only trust our own ears. 😊👍

Tube amplifier is better with small bands, with a few instruments. A good solid amplifier produces more direct sound, and is better with punchy songs, songs with many instruments.

They all sound different and have advantages and disadvantages, as per someone’s taste, but saying that tube amps are for small band with limited number of instruments 😊😊. Have you ever listened to some opera or classic music on tube ? Per your opinion, listening to classical music with 100 players, some of the instruments will be lost / hidden ?? C’mon man

Very different sonic characters. PCMs are great in tone, while X3s are great in scale and focus, especially the scale. You have to listen to them by yourself, in order to find out, which ones serve your music taste the best. I would prefer PCM for standard jazz musics, but I would prefer X3s for all round musics.
