Thank you 😊 The mica powders I used were eye candy mica powders off Amazon. This video is a couple of months old so I don’t remember the exact names of the mica powders, however, I have started to add the names of the mica powders to more recent videos. Thank you for your support ♥️ Every resin is different. I have not made jewelry with resin yet, however, I have watched videos where people have used UV resin for jewelry. I’m not familiar with the process, nor am I familiar with the UV resin product, but it is used often by others. The resins I use always have an 1:1 ratio which works perfect for my projects. There are resins that require different ratios. For example, a person who is working with a deep mold may use a resin thats specifically designed for deep molds. If I were to use my 1:1 ratio resin in a deep mold, I would have a lot of bubbles and I’m sure it wouldn’t cure properly. Temperature can play a major role in how a resin cure. Where I live, we experience below zero temperatures during Winter, during those periods I won’t attempt to work on my resin projects. The resins I use tend to work well in about 70-75 degree temperatures. If the temperature is cooler, I experience bubbles in my resin which can be a headache to work with. I have not done a lot of 3D bloom projects with resin, but I know it works well if you allow your resin to sit for a bit before making your blooms. Again, this will vary depending on the brand of resin you use. I have seen people use heating mats that are made specifically for curing resin. I have not used mine yet. I like to watch my resin cure and because I make more resin bowls, I have to work with my resin once it reaches a certain consistency. A heating mat wouldn’t allow me to do that. My best advice is to do research on different resins. You’ll find a resin that works for you 🫶🏽 it does take time but once you find the one that works best for you, that’s when you’ll begin to have all the fun experimenting with different molds, resin pigments, projects, the list goes on. For these size resin bowls I use about 16oz of resin all together. I don’t fill the mold to the top when I’m making a bowl.

Thank you! Yes, I learned with dusting the mica powder, the resin bowls do come out a bit transparent. I tend to like the transparency in resin bowls. My coasters always turn out more opaque because I use the pouring technique. Eye candy mica powder is great! A little goes a long way & they have beautiful colors. Thank you for your comment ♥️

@@QuinKreations11 Yes, I loved how transparent they are. It really added to the piece and made the colors even more beautiful. I just made all four of our Grandkids Dragon eye notebooks. It was a lot of fun, I dusted them with nail powders, color shifts, Eye Candy gold😊 and a little bit of Let’s Resin’s glitter color shifts. I used UV to make the eye white, then later ground it back a bit so I could glue on large Dragon eye cabochons. They all turned out great. It was a much bigger project than I anticipated but, I’m really happy with them. Dusting is very cathartic.😊
