There is about 5.5 % chance getting either higher or lower than 1.04 sample.mean. In other word, testing to get both are twice as much as the chance of each of them.
Hi Kathy, would you be able to tell me where I could find the SSPROP and SSMEAN programs and how to install them on my TI-84 plus calculator. I searched the internet but came up empty. Thanks very much.
Poor lecture. This is mythology, based on an off hand remark by Fisher. “Rare” is not a precise term. It must be used relative to the impact of the event and the frequency of the cases that could result in the particular event. If 5% of walks in the park resulted in death, and a person walked in the park every day, we would not consider the deaths rare. The local sheriff would say, “pretty common, about one corpse every three weeks. “
Thank you for your comment. My target audience is made up of students taking an average college-level introductory statistics course. My lectures support the content provided in textbooks for such courses. I agree that a deeper dive into some of the concepts would yield less generalized results.
These videos were originally created for a flipped class. A few years ago some changes were made at my college that resulted in the end of my flipped class. Therefore I have not been checking these videos for comments for a few years. Now that Covid-19 has moved all of my classes online, I have an opportunity to use these videos once again and to be more responsive to people who watch them.

The formula has n - 1 in the denominator. n is the sample size. The population size is 3 but the sample size is 2.
How the fuck you get the fucking variance you're not explaining how to get it you moron
She didn't explain anything and it was very confusing to watch and very confusing to follow along. This video needs a million thumbs down.
