@@PastorElaine My mother read me the Bible as a child and she repeated promises of me of the Following: witnessing Arms growing back Resurrection from bones in some cases Seeing Angels Devine Protection. Etc. etc. We simply stopped attending church because her work schedule was getting intrusive. Even after leaving church we kept praying it wasn't til my early 20s that my mom and I had an argument that I eventually started looking for cheap insults to hurl at god on RUclips. I feel claustrophobic about Heaven and Hell. I really didn't want god to rob me of my sex drive in heaven. In heaven there is No sex. That alone was enough to make me want to have a different afterlife. We both know that in Hell you are in far too much pain to think about the opposite sex. After a certain point I found RUclips Atheists like JackLynn and Cosmic Skeptic. Then Seth Andrews and Matt Deluhaunty.

@@Gfish17 Sounds like a challenging journey for you. God shows up uniquely in so many places, which is what makes Him God. He cannot be commanded to show up and your mom made promises that God is not required to keep. Heaven should bring thoughts of expansiveness and freedom, versus claustrophobia. Although hell should be avoided for sure, it likely will be very different than what we picture in our minds. Honestly, I believe we will have more senses in heaven than we do now, because we will be less visual and tactile and more relational and spiritually experiential. I doubt God would put us in a place that would cause us to yearn for physical pleasures we have on earth. May God reveal Himself to you in such a way that you will openly declare "surely, there must be a God" and it bring you joy and peace of heart and soul. The Truth does set us free ~Jesus

@@PastorElaine God should be exist may not be required to keep promises from someone else but he also knows what the outcome will be for people who those promises were made to if they aren't kept. It's impossible for me to believe in someone I can't see or Interact with.

There is a verse where Paul says he does not allow a “woman to usurp authority over a man”… in my case I was appointed so no force used… the word pastor and women are not used together in this verse… We are Church of The Nazarene and have ordained women from the start. Deborah was a judge- and had authority in The Bible… God approved.

Sheila, so many people think they need to find their 'purpose' to get peace in life. I tell them that Adam and Eve did not stress about their purpose once they named all the animals. God made us for His pleasure, and provided a beautiful planet to enjoy. He wants you to enjoy His creation (of which you are the pinnacle) and tell Him thank you. It truly is that simple. May our Great God grant you wisdom and insight into His heart and character to see yourself the way He does, and bring you peace.

How do you keep the Sabbath Day holy? So many people don’t know how to do that. If Sunday is the last day of ‘the weekend’ wouldn’t Sunday be the last day of the week? There are many calendars set up with Monday as the first day of the week. God knows the heart and we are saved by faith not works. What if every day is kept holy? May the people of God celebrate as one family to build each other up to love and good deeds 👍🏼🕊️

Regarding my faith, I was born to a single mom and my parents put me up for adoption, and I was adopted by a child abuser. So I have spent my life looking for what is truth. YHWH has proven His omniscience to me but also His love. So I have chosen to worship him. How did you come about to choose Poseidon?
