Haven’t seen you here for a while 😢
Jesus, you scared me at the end 😢
Great as always! ❤
Hi Cheryl, your enthusiasm for the art is contagious. As always, your patience and approach to teaching in detail is exceptional even with your limitations. Enjoyed the video!
It looks great!! I always enjoy seeing modifications that can help clients feel good in their practice!! Tai Chi is for everyone regardless of limitations. Thank you for this practice!!! ❤ I enjoyed your explanation of the martial arts as well!
A slow and purposeful lesson to refine body movement
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed this session! Stay tuned for the next refinement session on single whip and snake creeks down ☺️
I am in a walking boot and I am SO glad I found your video. Thank you for this!
Thank you for your sharing! I know how hard being in a boot can be! I have a few videos up like this, as well as some seated tai chi and Qigong videos that you might want to check out. If you ever have any questions on how to modify feel free to reach out! Wishing you a speedy recovery!!
Is being hit in the groin extremely painful for a female as well? Like even just a light hit there will leave me doubled over in pain.
Great question and absolutely! I've seen a girl slip on the edge of a pool, hitting her groin on the corner/edge, and she was completely doubled over in pain. It might not be exactly the same but it still hurts!
@@ladytaichi thanks for clarifying! I remember from when we were kids my sister being unaffected by a groin kick once, but she was a tank lol. Her aside, I would've imagined it might still be a pretty sensitive area although not as much as for a man. Sounds like from what you're saying that's true!
Loved this thank you! Not sure if you get this question often haha but what kind of underwear do you usually wear with yoga pants? Any recommendations on types colors brands etc would be greatly appreciated ❤️
Glad you enjoyed the video! This made me laugh 😂 because no one has ever asked me! I think finding quality non see through yoga pants is priority first and trust me I don't spend a ton of money on them. That way you can wear any color you want but I love Targets Auden brand seamless ones 😊
@ladytaichi thank you so much! Looking at them on the site now. Do you prefer brief or thong style?
@@michelleyoga726 cheeky for me but I'm sure all are great ;)
@ladytaichi gotcha! I recently bought some and they're the best!! Just wish they had white ones haha. Do you mostly get the beige ones? I assumed that was the safest bet ❤
@@michelleyoga726 Yay! I'm so glad that you like them too. I love them and just ordered more. I have every color that they make, just wish they have more options!
Thank you Cheryl😃
My pleasure, Daniel! 😊
Have that leg healed?
Foot is feeling much better, just still dealing with neck and shoulder issues from the accident. Gotta keep moving 😉
Really enjoyed the practice! I love you style of teaching ❤ Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! I am so glad that you enjoy these sessions! I appreciate your comment!
I truly loved this practice ❤️ Thank you!!
You're welcome! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it so much!!
Thank you, great step by step instruction!
Thank you Gil! I am so glad to hear that 😊🙏
This is my favorite to practice to.
It is special to practice with the sound of a waterfall! ☯️ ✨ 💕

Really hard practicing that slowly. I'm still learning the first part, and always have to slow down movements. In your essentials you didn't mention music or silence. Is it more personal to flow the movements or do you have any instructions about it? To me, light and soft music helpme feel the energy flow. Is there any video about it?
Practicing at the pace that you are most comfortable and can relax with! Then try to slow it down a little bit. Music is such a personal experience which is why I don't include it in my videos or classes. Soft light and music can help relax our mind and body to enjoy our Tai chi practice even more! Do what makes you feel best!
This step by step is the best. I just keep replying it from 40 seconds into the video. I try to do it 5 times each session. Thank you.
Thank you! That's incredible that you are practicing it 5 times in a row! I always say even 5 minutes a day is great but you are exceeding that! Next up you'll be tackling the traditional long form! Keep up the great work!!
I learned this form in the late 90s and continued through the early noughties. Since then it's been mostly on-and-off solo work. Your videos are ideal for ironing out the inevitable rustiness and short cuts that have manifested in my form over this time. Thank you so much.
I am so glad that you find the videos helpful Eugene! Practicing by yourself can be hard. If you ever want to join my virtual long form class on Fridays you can find the sign up information on my website. It would be a pleasure to have you there but I'm always here if you have any questions! Keep up the great practice!! Tai chi is a lifelong journey ✨
LOL my heroine 🦸♀️
Well thank you!!
Thank you for this excellent and generous instruction. I learned this form starting in ‘93, and have practiced it since. Your instruction helps me refine some parts of the form and rethink others. I originally learned it in the T.T. Liang style, so your instruction helps me get back to the more traditional 108 Forms. This is also the first time I have watched an entire 108 Forms video without feeling distracted or bored. You picked a perfect location to shoot your video! Thanks again! ☮️☯️
What kind words! I am so glad that you enjoyed the location, it's one of my favorite local spots 🙂 I feel like no matter how long we practice there will always be ways to refine our forms but I am so glad that you are finding this video helpful! You have been practicing for a long time and I am sure that you already have a beautiful form. Keep the good energy flowing Richie! ☯️ ✨
Hiya Cheryl! At 11:28 or so, is it Single Whip, into Snake creeps and then Golden rooster?
Hi Thomas! Yes, it is single whip, snake creeps down and then single whip into golder rooster. With all my injuries I just started from the single whip into golden rooster 🐓 😉
Been waiting for this one!!!!!
Thanks Paul. Glad you following along and enjoying the videos!
Great instruction !
Thanks Gil! I'm glad you think so and find the content valuable!
Amazing! Loved the pep talk at the end. No lie you're the best.
Thank you! All we can do is take it one day at a time and do our best each day!
No pain 😢
Yea unfortunately and it's going to take a long time to heal. Just taking it one day at a time 😉
Good instructions! Been doing it wrong for like half a decade 😢
Never wrong, just different 😉 but I'm glad you are enjoying the videos!
Sorry removed that comment, a bit irrelevant and I spelled it wrong to boot… 😮😂. Stance was good though ☺️
unete al grupo por favor.gracias
Yes! Been waiting for this.
Sorry for the delay! Been moving slowly since the car accident so even pre recorded videos are taking awhile to edit. I hope you enjoy this video!
These walk throughs are excellent. Do you have plans to do the essential form (22)? @ladytaichi
Thank you!! I am so glad that you find them helpful!! I recorded a demo of the Essential Form last month and plan on doing a voiceover on the video for a new walk-through. I am not sure when I will be able to release it though, I've been moving slowly since the accident. But keep an eye out because it's going to happen :)
Merci, I use your video when I miss my weekly class…, your form is identical to my school’s form!
That's wonderful! You must be studying at one of the Yang Family schools. I am so glad to hear that you find this video helpful!! Although I have never been to France I have met some of the instructors in Seattle. Who are you studying with?
@@ladytaichi I am not too good with this chat I was certain I allready had answer, apologies if that is the case. Yes we are a Yang school, located near Montreal in Canada. My school has French and English students. My teacher is Sergio Arione, he teaches us in both languages as classses are mixed with both anglophones and francophones.
Hi, @ladytaichi Do you have a walkthrough of the Essential form at all please?
Love that wide cloud hands stance.
Hi, Cherl! Thank you for sharing. Isolating and showing the hand rotation/movements separately really makes a big difference in understanding the movement.
Thank you! I am so glad that you find it helpful! If you ever have any questions feel free to reach out!
Thanks. I hope this helps when we get to the final section of long form kicks.
I'm sure it will help! I had planned to make a training video just to help with the kicks but since the car accident I am moving slowly and it will be some time before I can do that again. In the meantime, I hope that this video helps! I also have other Qigong videos just for balance that may help you with the kicking section! If you have any questions please let me know :)
@ladytaichi , Thank you for reaching out. You have so many helpful videos. Sending healing energy and happiness your way. The background looks like Lake Chelan . I lived in Wenatchee over there 30 years ago.
@@StewartFollett I am sorry I missed this comment. Thank you for the healing energy, still nursing my shoulder. You are correct, it is lake Chelan! We spend a lot of time there and also enjoy the Wenatchee area. Where did you move next? We are in South Florida most of the year but always head out to Washington for awhile :)
