This is probably the best quest in this game since the og. Remake adds an additional scenario too. If for whatever reason the empire does not solve the conflict in Cumberland in the second generation, Georg is killed and becomes a ghost. Thomas is also killed and becomes a ghost waiting to be found. A hundred years later the rebel leader still has the name Sophia for a symbol of the first leader. (This is ftom og but I am sure that remake does this too.) However I think solving the problem within 2nd generation has the best depiction of this quest.

I still won using the Imperial Cross formation but yes, killing the Killing Machine is a top priority against Cyfreet himself I simply opted for stunning him Really liking the game so far

Thanks for this idea! I hate bringing white magic just for blackout. Big cleaves got the job done just fine. I didn't have the same equipment, but I got the same result with a ninja dual-wielding kokaiji katanas (sold in stores, earth elemental cleaves) with a gaia vest (5 sky arena wins, +65% non-magical earth damage). Luckily, no earth immunity in this fight. Trick slash canceled dark overture, and I finished with no damage.

Probably the best writing of any of the hundreds of video games I've played.

What is your setup for tank? I see that you're lifestealing, immune to paralyze, and also immune to instant kill? How do you get this setup? If I do hemoring + ribbon, I don't have instakill protection, if I do ribbon + hope cross, I don't have lifesteal. Help!

I've never seen such an effective tanking method! I only really used Reaper during the midgame desert/mountains part of my first playthrough and didn't really touch it again, so it's cool to see optimised usage of it!

So... no chariot, basically this battle you have to chose between 3 strength charms or the demon petal dance for Hobrim... which to choose? EDIT: in the PSP version you can only get the demon petal dance form the female neutral sword master IF Catiua is not present in the fight, spoiler alert, to do this in hagia banhamuba when elder Faoroa ask you choose the option to either fight Catiua or not; if you say yes, this way she wont be present in the battle, unlike if you chose to not to fight her because in that case she will be present, pretty funny outcome, should be the other way around but guess it's the way of the game to punish you for your decisions.

This is amazing. I hope FF14 will become a single player game or at least will get a mode to get the full content solo. Instead of NPC helpers, just turn down the bosses and add them to a different mode. This lore and story is too good for the MMORPG and its gameplay.

My Clara is garbage so my team was Topaz instead of Tingyun to help bust the elites. It's just such a ridiculous strat to watch xD

This final battle rules! It blows my mind how much they absolutely nailed the emotional payoff of D5's finale. It almost makes me forget that D5's scenario lacks a proper ending...almost.

Finally beat this asshole boss lol... Getting deflect, parry and guardian program to rank 3 for 1bp cost was crucial. So was using wall of air or other tools vs the status effects.

love the character's style but the UX and UI are terrible for me....

Honestly from what I've seen, starting retinues in general just seem a lot more versatile and better balanced compared to SG's starting retinues, but damn the sheer flexibility of D5's is utterly impressive! Can't wait to dig into her scenario myself when the game officially launches! Also Constantine is fucking EVERYWHERE! He's in Mido's story art (or someone that looks very similar to him), he's the dude that B&F chase down before he gets gobbled up in the opening bit of their scenario, furthermore there's someone who has a very similar facial structure and eye color to him in their story art, the character who attacks Ameya and makes her lose her magic powers also looks similar to him, and there's the key art of the worlds/Emerald Wave that features the face of an entity that looks...disturbingly similar to him if nothing else. The fact almost all of the eyes of these characters are emerald green (they match the undertone's of Songstress' hair, which just so happens to be emerald green as well) is also just...insanely suspicious. If he somehow isn't the final boss or at the very least a significant entity in the world(s) of Emerald Beyond I am going to be legitimately flabbergasted.

Dont you get royal salmon for winning the race? I mean its very unlikely that you do win the race if you use the slow rental salmon but maybe you can use some un-gentlemanly manoveours to knock the pesky white salmon (designated winner) off of the race. 😅

Can confirm that you can still recruit Ameya if you intervene in the fights on the White Witch route. You must always fight the final calamity battle in Ameya's place to recruit her regardless of if you go the White or Black Witch route. Ameya doesn't join if you let her handle the final fight herself.
