I create things out of Wood and Metal as a hobby. I am self taught with over 40 years of experience. This channel is a no nonsense platform giving you clear pictures, dimensions and pointers to create each project and address challenges. I will not bore you with shots of basic woodworking techniques. You can learn those on many other channels. Enjoy the projects and feel free to comment with any suggestions or questions. Thanks for watching.

Where can I get the template for this? And is the product a left spring?
alcheminc.com/product-category/crossbow/free-printable-crossbow-plans/ it is a leaf spring, this link is the primary plans.
www.redstoneprojects.com/trebuchetstore/free_crossbow_plans.html referenced this site also.
I have that saw but no model number. I need to locate a gear and need the model number. Can you help?

Nice work ! Can you explain how the cam works? Is it eccentric? Thanks
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Very nice work
Thanks
This is about the dumbest video ever made.

Rockler Store vende los planos.
I just bought the 15” wood saw version which is very similar. It’s missing some parts of the lower blade guide. I just want to get it going and sell it. Hopefully make a little money. Thanks for it video. It turned out nice. Good restoration.
Thanks, good luck with yours.

👍👍👍👍👍
I made one out of a bar stool as the stand /portable , round , lots of holes but ya can't see the bits as you stand over it. I might try this for a change thanks. i've been wanting that lathe for a while.
Its a solid lathe. Very happy with it.
I like the comment 'Its called wordworking not plumbing' 🤣 I have jigs and storage in my shop I hav used PVC for, but I hate cutting/drilling/sanding it! Messy and stinks!
What is the advantage of this vise over a traditional drill press vise? The crank handle does not appear to be particularly user friendly. But at least I learned what a float lock vise is. The handle could be replaced with a hex socket and driven with a ball hex driver.

wait this is a DIY?
My friend gave me an ALMOST identical saw. I'm restoring it because it was in bad shape. He told me they used it for cutting metal where he worked but I figured it would work for wood(I'm a woodworker), so I took it. Once I got it plugged in I could tell that it was running too slow, even after changing the belt configuration around. I noticed on yours everything is the same except mine doesn't have pulleys inside the case. Yours has one on the wheel and lower coming in from the motor. So, my round about question is do you know any way I could convert it to cut wood? I assume on yours you could put a belt on the inner pulleys but I don't have those. Also Do you know the max rpms on my yours?
Sounds like you have the Dayton model Item # 6Y942. My model is 6Y942D. My Model has blade speeds of 80, 150, 200 and 2,800. Without the inner pulleys I am not sure how you could modify. I am a woodworker also. I have a 14" Jet for woodworking. I leave the Dayton setup to cut metal. Makes life a lot simpler. Sorry I could not be of more help.
@@jastikawoodmetaldiyproject7276 thank you. I figure I'm just going to try to get two new pulleys and put a larger one on the motor. See what happens.
@@89bavaro89 worth a try....good luck.
How did you fix the lever that switches between wood and metal? I went to buy one today and seems it was stuck in high gear for wood. The handle would only lock the blade wheels when moved. Trying to figure out what it would take to fix it
I don' t recall there was a problem with the lever. I bought the saw for metal. Can take a look at it but don't think there was anything that needed to be repaired around the lever.
How the heck do you ensure those walls get pounded in straight? What if the wall starts hitting something below the earth, like a giant boulder and it sends it off course?
They first take the backhoe and scoop down five feet across the entire area to remove rocks. So you are pounding into pure mud. Simple level and horizontal beam keeps everything level. Each panel is slotted and guides off the last one driven. Pretty simple.
It sucks when you don’t have the option to dig it out first and hit stones and what not , just gotta keep pulling and re driving sheets till you get them to sit nice , most sheetpile walls people do are horrible lol but they come out straight and plumb if you don’t rush it too much
Thx
I just had the opportunity to buy one in pieces for $80. I didn't do it. Mostly because I'm an idiot.
Good luck. Mine is still going strong with no issues.
How much would a wooden wall cost per foot?
Not sure about cost of wood. The fiberglass product we used here if memory serves was about $120 a foot. You have to add other costs like the the 15 truck loads of dirt we had to haul in to replace what had washed away over the years. The fiberglass is the way to go. We have lost very little if any dirt since completing the wall. But it is expensive.
JASTIKA Wood & Metal DIY Projects I’m partially rebuilding a customers sea wall made from 2x6 treated tongue and groove boards. We have to dig out the land side and add dead man anchors to it. Never done it before, it’s a 48 foot section...
@@wtfshiiiiii Should be a fun project. The other pro with fiberglass is the product is suppose to last 50 years. Now that is what the vendor said. Who knows if it is true or not. I will be long dead by that time. So far it appears to be pretty durable.
@@jastikawoodmetaldiyproject7276what's the lifespan of the metal if the fiberglass panels are 50 yrs ?
Beautiful job, nice and tidy. much appreciated if the plans were given for others also to get benefit out of it.
I like your holders.
Manda o projeto?
Nice video but you need to support it with music 🎶 plz
agree 100%, it is not that much more costly to use better plastics, they save maybe $2 to $3 with cheaper plastic parts . .terrible
hey you should show how you built it a little bit
Buen trabajo, que espesor son los materiales? Gracias
De qué espesor son loa materiales? Gracias
Buen trabajo, gracias por mostrar las medidas de la plegadora
How much
Well done!
Thanks
Very nice. I plan to start on my first dulcimer this week. I just hope that it is half as nice as this one ended up being. Well done.
Thanks..good luck
But now your miter saw can no longer miter because of the fence haha
It has an adjustable small miter fence on the saw itself. Miter cuts are fine.
Where'd you get the miter guide? Looks really nice.
The miter guide I took off of an old craftsman table saw. The rip fence I fabricated myself. You can still order both original parts off the internet but they want way too much money. Fabricated the rip fence out of scrap metal.
How much cost per meter ?
If memory serves about $140 per foot. Brought in 15 or so loads of dirt also so have to add that expense. Not cheap.
$120 per foot
Would this design support bending 1/8” steel?
No, this is light duty sheet metal roll. I believe you would need a hydraulic assist slip roll for steel that heavy.
Aren’t the melody string supposed to be closer together so you can press them both down with one finger?
Yes, I have since moved it over.
Thank you for the info on your video. What kind of glue do you use? Is it just regular wood glue? Or something special?
Just regular yellow wood glue
It would be much appreciated Many thanks
Any chance i can get your plans. I would love to build something like that. You did a fantastic job, well done
I don't have any written plans but let me see what I can do. Maybe a short video dragging a tape measure around it will help showing different parts.
