The wizard: original composition. (10 evocations op.1 No.5)
Amazing! Kinda reminds me of Pollini especially with THOSE THIRDS!!!! Keep it up
what concerto are you playing?
If I win Then the Rach 2
@@OziCastle NO WAY ME TOO
@@lavatrex Ayyyyy
@@lavatrex fof competition or just performance?
@@OziCastle well i'm in the process of learning it, i'm only like 1/3 through the first movement then we'll see, hopefully both
Not f# major, sound more like dsharp minor to me
I guess so yeah
I enjoyed it, particularly like how you came back to the theme at the end. It's good you kept it quite short as it works better as a short prelude. Some parts it felt like i was listening to Ravel and Rachmaninoff but I'd take that as a compliment haha
Good luck!
Fantastic performance, Ozwold!! 👏🏻
powerful performance
Wow, what an amazing prelude, really impressive!! I’m a big fan of your works 🤩
great balance this time, i thought the last performance of this you had uploaded was a little too slow and liked the recital version better. this one as of today seems the better reference for this piece. really great! brings a huge smile
Yes I agree speed is definitely a must have for this piece.
You are super creative, this piece is amazing!!
Definitely lies in the top 5 most overplayed Ozi pieces (by me of course)
Probably my best take caught on camera of this piece yet..apart from 1:28 I’d say it’s pretty decent.
Composed by me
you could make an INSANE sonata when you feel like it
Most likely in the distant future haha. Rn I’m mainly making miniatures :D
reminds me a bit of liszt's appassionata
This is very beautiful I love how the left hand changes so much, as specially the octaves in the middle. I feel like I'm listening to Ravel, this is amazing!
Thank you for listening :) I wasn’t to sure about this one but I’m glad you like it!
Best part imo is 1:40
@@OziCastle love the left hand at that part
Your skills are ridiculous! 1:38 is my favorite part. This prelude takes too much skills to play so I never approached it. Thanks for playing it so well!
One of my favourites! Amazing
Great performance!!
Once you learn double thirds you see them as a scale, especially this type is just down, in one direction, very easy.
Exactly! The biggest challenge with 3rds is evenness
Sounds really good
Thanks :)
If you don’t like this I will give you A minor concussion 🎹
Yuh 🔥🔥
I wanna learn this so bad but the left hand pattern is so hard lmao You did a great job :)
Thank you! Perhaps you could try and learn op 10 no 9 to make the stretches easier
This would be an absolutely AMAZING sonata or piano concerto
Thanks :) maybe I’ll recycle it for one
2:36 sounds so beautiful! great piece
No need for special effects
Yh i scrapped it bc it was just a big show of effects and not much else haha
@@OziCastleI mean that it's good ahahahah. Reading it now it looks like I'm saying there is no need to make something so difficult - though I meant there wouldn't be need for special effects because how you play it's the whole show! I think it's nice to have a couple pieces like this, they can work as encores
@@schil.d ohhh yeah that makes sense 😅 thanks! I’ll save this section for another piece
Would you be surprised to know that this piece evolved into a very tame and fancy mazurka? “But we have Rachmaninov at home”
Never 😂
why are there japanese subtitles?
I have no idea 🧐
Especially this development of the theme is beautiful 1:23
Could be longer, much longer
Thanks for the critique. I’m grateful for ur honesty. Was going for the Chopin prelude style. Incredibly short but with prominent character
Very good interpretation, really like the voicing
I love this prelude. Great work!
That hanging hand at the end was kinda funny, but it was good performance
Awesome, Ozwold! This was wild indeed!!! I feel a storm coming 🤩
Thank you pianothings!
An incredibly powerful etude, your playing no less powerful! It is definitely one of my favorite etudes from Chipin, it is such a satisfying ending to his 24 etude set
"Chipin" lol
Definitely agree! I’d say it’s my 4th favourite
@@OziCastle What are your other favorites? Mine are op 10 no 3, op 25 no 1, op 25 no 5 and op 25 no 12
@@OziCastle Actually I would probably add op 10 no 9 as well
@@Barichter74318 hmm that’s a tricky question, but my top 3 would probably be Op 25 no.6 op.25 no.11 and op.10 no 2
So beautiful
Amazing
One of the few times I’ve heard promising compositions on RUclips. Stick with it. You have a great talent. Also one of the few that I would like to play at some point.
Lovely. So visual - can see it thru the eyes of your heart
NOT a problem..... The only mistake in music is not playimg wirh your soul ❤
it’s so beautiful
0:54 mistake
Nice!
Fantastic! I love it! Definitely has some hoffmannian flavour to it, but the piece sounds fresh and unique. Bravo!
This fits the impression of falling leaves in a dramatic way very nicely - wonderful composition, Ozwold 👏🏻
0:43 is just heavenly
Nice triplets!
