How I Fixtured and Fabricated 12 Custom Identical Steel Chairs
Your Siegmund 5'x10' System 16 table looks right at home in your shop! It’s always rewarding to our team to see fabricators putting our Siegmund Welding Tables and Fixturing Accessories from Quantum Machinery Group to work. We love seeing it become a part of shops like yours and can’t wait to see the incredible projects you’ll tackle! 💪🔥
@QuantumMachinery Thanks guys! It's already paid for itself and I've had it about a year!
Everybody post your face, me to got the same
The character of the owner of the video can stand the test of time just like the quality of this 316!
So if i have a #20 style water cooled torch miller/lincoln what would i need?
Yall all some worms use a diamond blade on a hand held grinder and a drill.Use 300 or 320 grit I’ve used 100 grit and it works pretty good.
Get some countersink rivnuts
This is a lifelong condition. I was diagnosed as a baby and will forever have it. It’s common for children with hemihypertrophy to develop tumors in the stomach, so since I was a baby until I was 5 I had to get ultrasounds every couple months to check for tumors. After puberty it became less noticeable (it’s my whole body…left side larger than the right). A lot of people also have a cluster of cells on their head or down their face. I have one about the size of a quarter that is mistaken for a scab if people are doing my hair and don’t know. Why there are silly scholarships for college and not one for people with hemihypertrophy, I don’t know. There should be. You guys are beautiful and God made you that way for a reason…he made you beautiful:)

I also have this disorder, but I have another that literally counters this, clubfoot, if I didn’t have hemihypertrophy I would have a short leg, if I didn’t have clubfoot, I would have a long leg, but I have both and it’s the (almost) perfect counter, that’s also why I have two shoe sizes, and one leg and arm is wider then the other, my hemihypertrophy is only in my left limbs for some reason.
I purposely won't use starter bits to piss off the old maintenance supervisor
Bad idea
Mine is from the right side of my body from head to toe
Same here
Those look like table legs. Will the beeswax rub off on clothing?
Can't punch holes into 3/16" plate without blowing the lines.
Anyone find the solution!?
Vevor makes one of everything
I need one
Honestly cant tell
Same condition and i have lazy eye on one eye. Peeps and even dentists keep telling the assymetry is not noticeable. But yes, in pics and vids, it is. It is also my biggest insecurity. Thank u very much for sharing
Yeah, the thing is that usually people don't notice the difference, but when you take a picture or you're in front of a mirror, it gets really noticeable. In my case, my right arm not only is smaller, but it's atrophied, I just can't grow my biceps and triceps, no matter how hard I train them, meanwhile the left one gets jacked really fast...
Those wells stick out too far
Also makes it weaker
So when the rivet expands, it's grabbing onto a knife edge?
Hahahahahahah newbie learn to do that by hand
I don't know how
@@hamlinwelding okay simply roll the tungsten in between your your fingers try practicing with a pencil however however I will suggest when you start actually using tungsten .grind it with the tip down not with the point up and into the wheel .you catch the angle wrong or there's an imperfection in the grinding wheel you could easily send that tungsten into your hand. just like running a bead. it's all practice practice practice practice practice practice practice I've been in the trades for 35 years and I'm still practicing and learning things almost every day.
I was kidding, I very much know what I'm doing. I have work all over the country and world. I have work in multimillion dollar homes in the Hamptons, NYC, Miami, Huntington Beach, CA, etcetc. Sculptures in the Middle East, all over the place. I made of video of me doing this for click bait because I know the commentary and keyboard welders would have a field day with it. Www.hamlinwelding.com
I appreciate the tips though! ❤
If they are thoriated I do not recommend that! The dust is super dangerous if inhale it you will get chance from radiation
Yeah it's pretty nasty stuff
The chance of that happening is pretty minimal. You would be more likely to get hit by a car also if your generating that much dust from your tungsten you're doing something wrong
@@Kv-pk2st it doesn’t take much to affect you, it could be the tiniest amount inhaled that will cause cancer because of its radioactivity, once thorium makes it inside your lungs they will absorb 100% of the radiation, even if you don’t make lots of dust some will become airborne and whatever isn’t inhaled will contaminate your work are your clothes making it easy inhale next time you clean your area or if wind makes some of that dust airborne you will inhale it. Theres a reason there are special box sharpeners for tungsten electrodes which collect the dust. Of course the less you inhale the lower your chances of cancer but its still highly risky do to the concentration of thorium in the electrodes. I’m a chemist, I’m not a doctor but I do understand these elements specifically Thorium as I’ve worked with it many times outside of tig welding
I like my rivnuts to hold, thanks.
Or just weld a nut into the hole.
I was thinking chicken wings over a custom grill.
your diminishing the grip strength of the rivnut in the steel not to mention thinning the steel the grip is attached to
Weaker
You've been using it all wrong this entire time, let me show you my personal preference...
You just made it even easier for someone to spin it…
🙄
Everybody that wants a wandering arc. 😂
Wrong way straight up and down
Wrong! A Diamond wheel is proper.
Is the tungsten not sharpened?
The fuckin music 😂😂😂😂
🤣
Me belt sander tho
Belt sanders are definitely better!
I prefere belt sanders to sharpen my tungsten.
Belt sanders are definitely better!
No one sharpening sideways isent good at all
When you're only using them to tack steel frames with millscale still on them, it's really not that serious. I've been doing this shit a long time.
@@hamlinwelding .... doing it wrong a long time doesn't make it right ... 🙄😂

I think you just provoked a response video for yourself. Maybe do a controlled stress test against the common method? Maybe hang progressively heavier weights to each and see when they fail?

Beautiful
Just use flangeless rivnuts instead
Right, then you don't have to use a counter sink and make your already thin steel thinner.
Just use a carbide friction drill to make your hole and then tap it, no rivnuts needed
Was looking for a comment like this, A friction drill will add thickness to tap the hole ruclips.net/video/yRxLhh5XJQE/видео.htmlsi=Vo0AUgDPQdOSm-gQ
Bad. Losing strength. This was already thought of.
I have not been using it wrong.
How much strength have it reduced by making the material thinner? That would be my only concern.
In most applications you're better off with clearance... especially if corrosion is a consideration....
How to take all the strength out of a rivnut.
That’s not how the manufacture says to install them. It’s holding on to less metal. Do we call you when it fails and someone gets hurt? You didn’t put up a disclaimer. 🤷🏻
😂😂😂 You're so dramatic
