How To Crack Quantitative Research Interviews (Hedge Fund / Buy Side QR Roles)
Thanks sir G!! i have heard on a lot of places ki something is pigeon hole principle ..now understood..can you make us solve 2-3 more problems on this
@@Sourabh__Chaurasiya Thank you! Sure I will add them to the queue of videos
please increase frequency of puzzles
Wow Problem!! thanks sir g for difficult problem to make it easy
Thanks !! Please increase the consistency 🙏 ❤
Depends on the speeds of the four people. Let's assume the four people are p1, p2, p3, p4 and time taken by them to cross the bridge are 1, 2, 5 and 8 seconds respectively. Here p1 and p2 will go together first (2s), p1 comes back (1s) then p3 and p4 will go together (8s), p2 comes back (2s) and then p1 and p2 cross together (2s), Total - 15 s. Now let's assume time taken by them are 1, 4, 5 and 6 seconds respectively. If we follow the similar pattern as before, it will take total 4 + 1 + 6 + 4 + 4 = 19 seconds. However, if p1 accompany p2, p3 and p4 each separately it would take 4 + 1 + 6 + 1 + 5 = 17 seconds. So, let's say the time taken by four people are t1 < t2 < t3 < t4. If 2 * t2 < t1 + t3 then the first way would take least amount, otherwise the second way.
Nice insight!
Interesting Solution!
@@VaibhavGupta-g1t Thank you!
Fun video!
Thanks!
Finally revealed face in puzzles:)
@TheQuantZone Pick k gold bars from Bk bag so we have 5 bags so in total we take out 15 gold bars 1 from B 1 , 2 from B2 , ........5 from B5 now we keep all the 15 gold bars on the scale so if all of them are real the reading should be 150lbs which it wouldnt the actual reading would comeout as 150-2k so lets say if the reading is 144lbs it means that the third bag was the fake one. thank you
You got it right! ;)

Thank you for the videos! Could you share more resources for preparing for quant interviews at hedge funds like 2Sigma and WorldQuant? Similar to how LeetCode helps with coding interviews, is there a platform or resource for quant finance prep?
@@QFEnthusiast For QR interviews, the focus is on brainteasers, coding, prior relevant experience, or items of relevance on your resume. Mock interviews help a lot to get comfortable with the process.
Nice video
Thanks bro.
Can’t get an interview in the first place
hang in there. I am going to make a vid on how to land these interviews soon
In which quant company you are doing job ??
quant retard
money does not operate on reality but the perception of reality you fucking noob

hii sir i am currently 3rd year student from a tier 3 college but i have wasted 2 years of my btech now , please guide a little bit and give a roadmap so that i can start from scratch level
Thank you sir fir this video...this was veey helpful. I am incoming student fordham msqf 24. What is the reputation of this course? As a industry practitioner how likely are you to hire students from this course?
Most informative video on RUclips ❤
Thanks so much!
so the sequence of voting actually matter but the quesiton does not clarify that
2.04 - 2.53 it is mentioned on the screen but the smaller cases clarify the same.
What is the purpose of this question in trading? No matter how much intelligent you are, your stops are still going to hit. Rather focus on risk reward and emotions.
Is this a trading video?
Can you tell how many opportunities are there for someone whos a fresh graduate and looking for quant jobs? Can you make a video on it? How to find and prepare for these companies?
Sure will do.
You said you will do video on roadmap 😢 Please brother
Hi , Thanks for watching! Could you please elaborate on the roadmap where I should make the next video?
@@prakarshduhoon111 actually this video nice But how to start as newbie to company like Jane street quantitative analyst 😅
Got it.. will cover this shortly! Thank you!
Really great video, got me into a prop market making qt internship as an econ major. thank you!
Thanks a lot for sharing this! All the best!
Great info and subscribed. You touched on CFA, but do you think it worth the effort to get the certfication for quant with very little background in finance?
Hi John, CFA is great to have finance background knowledge, but it is not necessary. Once I did CFA level 1 and 2, it would not make you feel alienated in the industry given you shall have broad understanding
Hey, grad from VIT Vellore here, I'm aspiring to crack quant firms, please post more specific content and brain teasers, also try making courses, thank you
Hi ! Sure, I have not had a chance to make more videos, but will do more shortly. Thanks a lot for watching!
Hi, This is now underway. I hope you are finding the content useful.
Dude, the background music is unnecessary and it might distracts people
Any possibility for tier 2 cs students to get there if they have been working in top product based companies in c++ roles
Ace the competitions hosted by hedge funds on kaggle etc. this should definitely help . Else pursue a quant dev role where the skills are transferrable. Can move to quant research role internally
Ace the competitions hosted by hedge funds on kaggle etc. this should definitely help . Else pursue a quant dev role where the skills are transferrable. Can move to quant research role internally.. other option would be to pursue a degree in financial engineering
Am from Tier 3 clg is there any chance for me
Anything is possible. You may have to pursue unconventional paths like acing the competitions hosted by funds on kaggle etc., working part time for any projects offered by the hedge funds. Also think about pursuing a degree in financial engg. Or stats or maths or Operations research or CS from a top tier college
I have an interview at millennium today! Glad I found this video
Good luck!!
