RIP Man in Black. 20 yrs John and June have been gone and their music continues to bring me joy and get me through tough times. I hope before I die I can find my June Cater and have a love like John has for June.

Aragog escaped the forbidden forest

Johnny Cash and June performed at a Canada Trust bank event back in the early '80's. There was about 30 CT customers in some back room made into a makeshift concert hall in the back of the branch in Vancouver that had special invites. We had and I'm not sure why - just young kids really. They looked semi shocked at what they had agreed to when they came out on the makeshift stage but soon warmed up to our small but enthustiastic cheers. It was an unbelivable experience and I still remember all of it to this day some 40 plus years later.

June and Johnny you’re not forgotten.

Whoever has aged people in their live knows how straining even little tasks can be for them. How walking some steps makes their breath short. What a love , that he kept singing though it was hard on him. May he rest in peace.

Watching this breaks my heart to see him look so frail, sound so hoarse and then die only a matter of weeks later, but, at the same time, I admire him for coming out for one final time and doing what he does best-sing. Watching this leads me to believe that no matter how frail you can look, no matter how worn your voice and no matter how frail you actually are, it's still worth getting out there and singing great songs for one final time.

A guy who struggled like the rest of us. Who made it big, who kept it honest.

He's a rough looking 71. I'm soon to be 75 and still drive Corvettes, drive the Talladega Superspeedway 3 times a year, work on old hot rods and work a regular job. Strange how lifestyles can affect ones abilities and longevity.
