Mine worked when I first got it and I have never fired it. Got ready to go to the range and discovered I couldn’t engage the safety. Emailed CMP to two of their email addresses in the last two weeks and have had no responses.

I have the same problem with my safety. How did you fix it? Just by replacing it with a new trigger group?

I have a Takamine P5nc and p7nc both made in Japan and they blow away the 3 Taylors and my martin guitar . They sound beautiful , full and so resonant.

Your playing is just fine. Both amps sound great. The JTM45 w/KT66's (?) has more sag and is more hollow sounding, as you've said, because it's a bass circuit with a tube rectifier. The JMP50 w/EL34's is more immediate sounding and has more midrange because it's a lead circuit with a SS rectifier. A JTM50 is a nice compromise between the 2 while adding some extra good stuff and then flip a coin on rectifier type.

I love the dark fret board on that gold top. Probably ebony. Oh wow that’s the old style ABR1 bridge ? I know this guy has good ears just by seeing that.

What is the cost difference?

Don't be so modest, you forgot to mention that the shelf where the spool of very old wire had been stored upon an extremely old Mahogany wooden shelf in a very old Victorian house built before we were even born. Importantly the old Victorian house also had an equally old wooden fence around it. That last part is very important as an old wooden fence around the property is well known to help the tone of any guitar.- Peter ags 73

Excellent video. Taught me everything I needed to know about biasing in one easy to digest video. It helped that I already knew the optimal biased voltage on my Victory V30 Countess

Was the Super Bass the same amp as the JTM50?

I got a little confused, why was the Super Bass mentioned? That was a JTM45 V 1987X, correct? And you said 50 watt after amp 1 then said 50 again on amp 2. I think you meant to highlight one from the other.

It would be great if you did one on the differences between the Lead 50 and SLP 100.

It did not sound like shite, just to be clear. That was theee plexi tone. Nice and dry and knife edgy. Like a knife going straight to the heart.

SS rectification doesnt sterilize anything, in a good amp: case in point - I ve got a Ladner Amps (great guys..) replica of 1971 metal panel JMP50.. handwired on ceramic strips you can switch from tube rectif. to SS on the fly... sounds tighter with SS, maybe ? - maybe I wouldnt recognize at all

LOL..comparing a 600 dollar guitar against a 1300 is kinda lunacy..you do know they are different tonewoods?...maybe you dont..and my Yamaha 16DLL sounds better than both...if want the tone..nothing beats Spuce top rosewood back and sides..FACT..he'll my 351 Tak eats Taylor's and shits martins...fact...we can start liking your videos when you make sense

These are two totally different guitars. There is no best. It depends on what you're after. I have a Tak and in general, I think most of their instruments are brighter with less mids and lows. That's perfect in some situations, but overall I would say Martin is more versatile. I'm actually looking at Martin, Taylor and Gibsons right now, all of which have considerably better mid and bottom end. Guitars are not like socks... one size doesn't fit all.

Hey...your Tak needs a little work...some fret buzz on nearly every chord...maybe just a truss rod adjust...nice looking guitar BTW :)
