A two steps queuing system and you must reserve at least one hour for waiting. Foods are special and almost every dish can be shared by two. But after waiting for hours, would you still like to share? Parking is not hard.

Many old and traditional railroad exhibitions. Good to check the trains, seats, platforms and railroad. A good place to take a comfort tour in a hot Sacramento city. Yearly membership is available.

A Michelin recommended restaurant in downtown of Sacramento. Complimentary bread is a good start. West Coast Oysters with onions and red wine sauce is incredible. King salmon is delicious. Daily house made pasta is very unique. The best and special is Porchetta. The ending desert is Toffee pudding. Not cheap but worthy.

A old railroad construction in an old Sacramento downtown. For western people as well as the whole world for gold. There’s some symbolic railroad exhibitions to be checked. A great place to visit in an old Sacramento area.
Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park

A stunning and elegant building to serve the governors and host leaders from all over the world. Many historical memories. You can also enjoy 19th century style garden. Admission fee required to enter but free to walk around the park.
Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park

A well preserved and organized historical building. Lots of original stuffs left to offer imaginative life at that time. First ever European setup in California with support from local natives. Deserved to spend time in walking around. Parking is easy around the park. Admission fee is required.
California State Capitol Park

A very central capitol park in the heart of Sacramento, California. Lots of constructions are in progress. It still takes time to walk around the park. Not very crowded. Parking is easy around the park.

A Michelin recommended restaurant. Family style Chinese foods with American bar. Immigrants beef and Honey Walnut Prawns are our top two dishes. Pork Chow Mein is special and delicious. Half Beijing ducks and Fats Brandy Fried Chicken are both deserved to give it a try. Cannot miss the in-house desert, Fat’s Banana Cream Pie. In Sacramento downtown.

A convenient hotel inside downtown of Sacramento. Walking distance to good restaurants. Few minutes drive to museums and parks. Friendly reception and all service people. Valet parking or parking beside the hotel.

A wide beach to enjoy various activities and also fishing. Not very crowded therefore it’s very comfortable to take a break on the beach. Walking to the beach is not far. No fee is required and parking is not difficult.

A state park connecting two state beaches. Very easy to access via either entrance on a loop trail. Along the trail, you can see not only two state beaches but others beaches which are not accessible. The trail itself is generally easy for one direction but a little steeper if going a loop. No fee is required and parking is easy. Not crowded.
Gray Whale Cove State Beach

Parking on the roads and access through a short trail to reach the beach. Not many people but you can still enjoy various activities. It’s also good to just sit or lay down on the beach. Clean sands. No fee is required.

Hi! Saw this beautiful beach to do a quick photoshoot. And saw your post. How long is the actual walk down to the beach? One of us is 17w pregnant and woild like to know if it would be an easy trek for them going back up. Thanks in advance!
We park across the entrance and walk down in 5-10 minutes. Easy to explore the short trail and nice beach.
