In this video, enjoy a short walk across the width of Jerusalem's Southeastern Hill from the Central Valley to the Kidron Valley. This strategic, small saddle was the vulnerable point on the north side of ancient Jerusalem that could have been fortified to protect the city below. We begin in the Givati Parking Lot excavations on the slopes of Jerusalem's Central Valley and walk through other excavation areas, ending with a view into the Kidron Valley. As you will experience, the hill on which ancient Jerusalem was built was not that wide at all.
