This Home Assistant Dashboard BLEW MY MIND!
You guys have asked, and I’ve delivered! In this video I’ll go over my current mobile Home Assistant dashboard setup, and show you how to get my dashboard working on your Home Assistant instance. We’ll move a little faster than usual through this one since I’ve covered this procedure before, but it _hopefully_ shouldn’t be too bad.
Shoutout to LE0N on the Home Assistant Community forum for providing the basis for this dashboard. I went through countless different dashboard designs before settling on his and think I’ll be sticking with it for quite a while. The layout is very similar to his, and I reused several of his button card templates.

Hi Jimmy, I’m planning to upgrade my bedroom like this as well. I already have a raspberry pi 4a to start with, and a kindle fire 7 as a wall display. My question is: do I need a zigbee bridge to connect sensors and lamps. How did you connect your devices? Would love to hear from you

Hi i am using apple home and thinking of switching to home assistant but i was wondering what do you use for voice control
I still use Siri; if you do decide to switch, just keep your devices connected to Homekit and also connect them to HA, that way you can use Homekit for voice control and HA for automations/other stuff. Or, you can send pretty much all of your HA entities to Homekit with the Homekit bridge integration. HA does _technically_ have a voice assistant, but its still being developed and not very fully featured yet.
Looks like wall mount is no longer available. Any suggestions for an alternative?

Try adding this to your configuration.yaml if you haven't already: frontend: themes: !include_dir_merge_named themes
Hey Jimmy, love your videos and this dashboard. I am nearly finished setting my dashboard up but have one problem. There is a huge gap between the top rows (lights lights climate) and the row below (media outlets security). It is pushing the content below the screen. Any suggestions for how I would fix this? Thank you.

Hi Jimmy, I follow the step by step and i encounter an error ( Unable to save YAML: [object Object] ) when i try to save in dashboard > raw configuration editor. Any tips on how to find the issue for this ? Much appreciated thanks
This is really useful and gives a good step up to create your own dashboard. Does anyone have advice to make the screen a bit 'shorter' ? I'm running it on a Tab9 and you need to scroll to see the bottom of the page. I've reproportioned the buttons and it's helped but the footer is off the page
I am having the same problem. Did you ever find a fix for this? The gap between the top row (Lights and Climate) and the next one below is huge for me.
I get an error "Custom Element doesn't exist: vertical-layout. I will search around for that element and see if I can move to the next step.
You don’t want to use a touchscreen that relies on a battery. You’ll find out why in a year.
90% have batteries, these are really cheap anyway. Backup the device if it does buy a new one restore and plug it back in

I didnt have the "themes" folder, I've created it and after I've created the file, added the code, next Develepor Tool, called Frontend. But when I go to my profile the team is not available. I just don't get any option to select a theme.
i found got to Profile scroll down to browser settings and its at the top

make sure you've pasted in the entire theme file, because this is where the bottom tab bar is specified. If you're using your own theme, copy lines 241-293 of the rounded.yaml file to your theme file, which should move it to the bottom.
@@itsmejimmylandry verify that "card-mod" is installed in your HACS also, without it its not working
Hi , adjusting the scripts in the wallpaper itself is not as simple as with you, I get an error message (see below) and then I see everything listed one after another, making it really difficult to find content adjustments. error message: Visual editor is not supported for this configuration: Key 'card_mod' is not expected or not supported by the visual editor. You can still edit your config in YAML. I also don't get suggestions like with adjusting entities. do you have sugestions?
Check that you have card mod installed, you can find it in HACS

Looked a super vid until 4:37. At this point my directory list is not even close to what you show and definitely have no www folder, don't even have the user-files folder that you quickly show, but do have a tts folder, so no idea how / where all those other folders came from on your copy of HA ??? there must be additional steps you have not shown ????? Can you explain this or what I am doing wrong even thought I ( think ) I have followed your every step up until 4:37.
Interesting... all those folders were there by default when I installed HA. Try creating the www folder manually and see what happens, HA _should_ recognize it as if it were always there.

I take issue with the "Advantage of Local Cloud" section. Using Home Assistant DOES NOT magically make your home "Local" or "Offline". If all of your devices don't support local control, and only support Cloud APIs, you're still in trouble. You've just eliminated Google/Alexa/HomeKit being a middle man - that's it.

so this home Assistant does have zigbee and z wave sorry im new to this
HA doesn't ship with native zigbee/z wave capabilities but you can buy external adapters that plug into your server and give it the ability to talk to zigbee/z wave devices, without the need for an external hub.

i cant find some plugins from hacs in the hacs store? do you know why? and how do i get the menu bar down instead of up
