Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowlege. I am confused about what you did at 60s...when you added a 2nd curve then deleted its vertices. What is the purpose of this?

Yes, it is just for Mac users, as I say it in 0:30 and as the animation shows „exclusively for Mac users“

Still have problem when you bake steering, the front wheel rigging control will lose the position and freeze at the original place. When I make the model to follow the curve, the wheel direction is wrong. Anyone find the same problem?

wow. yo boss i got a quick question. i have this geometry nodes tree with lots of instances for the branches and the last instance are the leaf object that comes with its on texture. Thing is i also create an vector attribute for the bark texture and procedural uv unwrapped the entire tree and its instances. is there a way to make my procedural uv unwrapping node system to avoid uv unwrapping the leaf instances but affect the rest of the geometry nodes tree?
@@_casg did u try to use the UV unwrap node before adding your leaves? That’s just a guess. Please ask questions like this on blenderartists.org. I really can recommend that site - people are very helpful, answer quick and have lots of knowledge.
@@BlenderFun_ thanks dawg, I’m literally on reddit, some dude emailing me about it, so far I can’t find a solution. But your tutorial the only tutorial out there talking about masking points and instances which is getting me closer to my goal. Seriously this video rare.

Thank you for taking time to fix it. The issue now in car steering the wheels make 360 degree rotation which is very weird, any idea to fix that?
are u using Blender version 4.2?

True , I have the same issue when using Blender 4.2 . I had to go back to Blender 4.1 .

This would be a little harder to run when the instances are realized, right?
I am not sure what you mean with „a little harder to run“, but of course the performance of a geometry nodes tree is lower if it’s used. That’s the „nature“ of realize nodes because instances are essentially just copies and if realized, every instance has its own geometry.
@@BlenderFun_ Yes, that's what I'm looking for. Instances will be a little easier to run than realised instances as realised instances have individual geometry, right?
@@technoober8352exactly. You should only use realize instances, if necessary.

@@BlenderFun_ 4.1 but everything seemed to run fine I got it to work at 1st and then i just kept having the issue
@@BlenderFun_4.1 . Got it to work at 1st but then suddenly started to get the issue
@@MrSkyviewer the fix is just for Blender 4.2. So this might be the reason. For 4.1 I think there is a fix of a RUclipsr called Jean - you should be able to find it via a web search.
@@BlenderFun_ already went thru those solutions, thats what got me here, i got the wheels spinning even tho I can't bake the animation for some reason. I think I'm good for now. Thank you

I'm having trouble orientating the transform constraint. my rotation axis is on x and the mover is on Y i tried switching the axis torching through all the different axis sources but the mover isn't moving the controller at all.
I recommend following my tutorial exactly and step by step how I did it. Same axis, same orientation, same everything. If that works, then you can try to change it. I learnt this myself the „hard way“, because if you change just a little bit (and because I am learning Blender as well) the whole thing might mess up. Happened to me often - if you are a beginner it happens 90% because often it is not as easy as it seems. If you really wanna have help in your case - please ask on Blender Stack Exchange or blenderartists.org. There are a lot of nice people who will help you for free - and I am helping there as well.

Just check restrict frame range in the cycles modifier and enter your desired frames
