How I can get this product Dupli Color in India?
Thanks for the video.
61,404????????????
If I go to Napa, O’Reilly’s, Autozone, (wherever) and ask for an actuator, are they going to know what I’m talking about or look at me like I just talked in some kind of gibberish?
They might call it an HVAC actuator in the stores, but if you explain that it opens and closes the vent doors they’ll know what you’re talking about. Good luck
Where i can find
Do not try using brush to brush paint along surface, just dab it. Lightly wet sand paint after it dries using a flat block. Go very lightly as not to take too much off. Use 2000 grit. Clean off dust, then dab the clear coat on lightly. Do not brush stroke it. Wait 24 hours, then lightly wet sand with 2000, then 3000. Clean and polish with light compound. Apply wax after all the light sanding marks are gone.
I watched all the way through the video. The calibration method could be used at the start as part of trouble shooting. After I watched the video I ran the calibration. This is all I needed to fix mine.
Nicely done
One down. 50 more to go >.< Thank you and God bless. im definitely picking one of these up if I see one
Brialliant WJD well done fab instructional video , from west of London UK. Graham [ Chartered Engineer ] 👏👏👏🎬.
Excellent Brother!!! I'm doing this soon, and replacing the door threshold also... Thank You Much Chuck in Michigan
Yeah, I’m not a big female so I was able to hang upside down and change it😂. Also, I use a battery and a mini clamp to angle the shaft. That way I didn’t have to use the ignition. I found the idea on a RUclips video here.
Is that paint durable?
Good one, thank you
Was looking this up before applying to my 03 impala, small world.
ive replaced the 2 easy ones in my 09 in the past couple years; one being this summer... and now ive got not a clicking noise but more of a water pump noise coming from behind that dash.. absolutely been loving this car for a good 8+ years.. and the clicking noise has been my ONLY issue! luckily they were easy cheap fixes from a friend of a friend for ~100$
I want to try this, but when my negative cable is disconnected, I can't remove my key from the ignition; it gets stuck in the accessory position. Any idea on how to get around this?
Name of the product, plis mister 🙏🏻
Thank you! My brother had this problem for YEARS and now we know.
I'm getting ready to do this. Thank you.
It is just the actuator going bad eventually? It sucks that you have to replace it.
Ху..ета американская
Are all 3 actuators the same style ?
good job , Thanks for the info
Thank you So much for doing this video. My door has the same rot and I was told the entire door and frame have to be replaced. Now that I see what you have done, I will repair my door frame the same way and save money.
So all the actuators are the same or right
I also did this, and it left a mess on my chassis
how the hell is that thing so clean under there, if i ever dare to attempt removing the manifold heatshield bolts on my it would take HOURS and an oxyacetylene torch you guys in the south of the US have it too good man, meanwhile i have to fuck around with a torch cause i'm in canada
That's a really nice Impala!
Help. What do you call the vertical wood piece (4:11, right side of finger) that is also rotted? Got that & under my windows (plastic siding, insulation foam, rotted wood). Don't know what that wood panel called to look up.
you did not show step by step>like you said> no videos out there for us:(
There are many videos, search 'impala blend door actuator'
2024 and they still can't come up with something better than this. No wonder aliens do not come here. Humans are dumb.
*I watched this video and ended up ordering 3 of them. Easy install, no more AK47 gun sounds* 😅
Can you get this at local auto part stores or online ?
It's on Amazon and at Autozone. Other local stores may carry it as well.
Out of curiosity how long did it take you to do this job?
15 mins for the passenger side and about an hour to hour and a half on driver side.
First time I heard this noise is when I open up my car door and I didn't get a chance to get in it yet
Mine started coming on while the car was sitting idle.
This video has no information on the type of vehicle!!!
Perfect video for my situation. I"ve got the same type paint pen exactly from the Chevy dealer and need to take care of some chips on the dually fenders. Thanks for posting this
Glad it helped
DRY TIME till polish.????
I heard those teeth break off.
Hey could you elaborate on the start up? 1. Start engine without holding brake 2. Hold the brake and gas fully down 3. Press engine start button for 2 seconds then release brake and gas? I tried and it turned the truck on and it redlined right away haha.
i did this and messed my car up so bad💀💀 i only recommend for rock chips
Thank you
Me too
What did you use it for? If borne for the small chips?
@@user-vg8tv1hp9c i used it on a long thin scratch and rock chips
I got the pin but I don't have a rubbing compound. What is this? Where do I get it?
I have an Impala I know several people who also have an Impala this is a very common problem. I know this occurs after a few years in use but by now you would think they would improve this problem!
Had to replace all 3 of my within a years period.
Thank you friend I did passenger side both about year ago got in yesterday and that god awful clicking but on driver's side thought oh boy here we go again thank you for taking the time to show and explain as I'm a hand on learner I found after watching you do this I surely can do ordered the part made sure it was the one and yes can feel the darn thing clicking it stops after about 5 minutes it don't continuously yet but I'm sure if I don't get the new one in continuous will be next 😢.So I'll update you when I get part and install it tueday. . Thanks again 👍😊👍.
Glad you found the video useful. When the one closest to the passenger door went bad, it would tick after the car was turned off and just sitting for a while. My daughter drove it to school and someone told her that her car was ticking. Definitely annoying, good luck with driver side and let me know how it goes.
@@WhojoedaddyDIY have part still haven't gone out to do it yet . I had some issue on passenger side clicking while car ignition was off .driver's side is not doing this yet.thank you again 🙏
Ok finally had thf time this morning 🌅 Man what a pain in the $#@. However all went as shown in your video no real issues besides the fact this is all done by feel I found a swivel on my quarter drive socket was extremely useful as well as a 18 inch long small flat head screwdriver 🪛 to pop that clip off back there that was the hardest thing for me . But all done and no clicking thank you thank you thank you 🙏 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Have great weekend friend .
I’m wondering if the brick molding board being of pvc is enough with it being the outer piece of board and more exposed to sun and rain is it not an issue I have to worry about in using the treated pine jamb board in the cut out sections you do at the bottom on both sides? I have looked everywhere for a pvc material jamb leg and can’t find it anywhere. Only if I’m willing to buy a whole doorframe kit which I don’t want to do. Is that treated pine holding up well?
It’s still looks the same. Shouldn’t have any problems if you keep it painted and caulked so moisture can’t get to it. I wasn’t able to find PVC material for jam. After you buy a jam kit, you could almost replace the whole door and frame. It depends on how much you want to spend. I try to show my viewers how I do something and save money at the same time. Good luck
@@WhojoedaddyDIYthanks for your response. Today I started work on mine. Didn’t finish yet but I did have a lot of old nails down in the area where I removed the small section of the old jam. I think some nails seemed like they were nailed from the outside of the jam into the threshold. Plus nails toward the outside. Is that a possibility? I didn’t notice you hammering those little door jamb sections into the threshold before placing threshold and drilling pilot holes and nailing jamb into the outside boards. Maybe a builder does that in a new construction. Can you confirm if I’m ok just to nail those sections of door jamb into the outside board, tighten down the door threshold and just put caulk between threshold and bottom of jamb since nails will be above that area before putting the new pvc brick molding boards? Thanks for your suggestions.
That shit don't work !
Worked like a dream for me, are you sure you screwed to your floor joist?
Did you have code p0843?
The door jamb you used says treated pine. Could you have cut out the old wood section you cut out at the bottom and then used a jamb made of pvc instead?
Thanks
