Semiquavers ( Sixteenth Notes ) in Simple and Compound Time Signatures - Music Theory Lesson N 23
Today the 23rd Music Theory Lesson regarding Semiquavers ( Sixteenth Notes ) in Simple and Compound Time Signatures.
You will learn and understand how to consider a Semiquaver ( sixteenth or 16th note ) in a Simple Time ( 2/4, 3/4 or 4/4 ) and in a Compound Time Signature ( 3/8, 6/8, 9/8 or 12/8 ) and which rule it has in the two different cases: in the first case it has to be intended as a quarter of beat / count, in the second case as half beat / count, but you will understand everything properly if you watch the entire tutorial up to the end.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this video. I learnt piano as a child, but always hated practising. I only did my grade 1 age 7 and stopped before grade 3 aged 9. As a 50 year old, returning to the piano, I finally found an easy piece I like that I might learn to play, but my attention wanders, and I find myself only improvising, I struggle to listen to words, only music, as if I have ADHD. I would like to learn this to play to my mum. I wonder if you have any advice for me..
