    I agree with you Tori, I wish that more cosmetic and hair brands in Europe did trial/tester/travel sizes for their products. I have very sensitive skin so being able to buy trial sizes for brands would be incredibly useful for me. When it comes to hair products, brands from the USA (like Jessicurl, Curlsmith and Giovanni Eco Chic) selling teeny sizes in the UK meant that I felt happy to try products from those ranges that I wouldn't normally try if I had to buy the full size. I'm glad you had fun trying out some new things :D

      @Tori_Hunter 3 часа назад

      Oh yes that’s such a good point if you have sensitivity or tend to react you really want to be able to try stuff first before committing to full sizes! I had maybe a little too much fun 🙈💰 xx

      Ah Kate what a shame but I guess not everyone is going to love it - good thing is they usually sell really quickly in FB groups as they quite often go out of stock. It takes longer than scrunch and pulsing, definitely, but for me as brush styling goes it's one of the faster methods.

      You're so welcome Misty, thanks for taking the time to leave a commet. I would say if you have a loose wave like mine it's good to not get too 'curly' focused with advice....I did this when I first started and was following routines and using products much more suited to much curlier hair textures; it would get frustrating when mine wouldn't turn out the same or hold up overnight and just looked like a frizzy mess 😆 Good luck - let me know how you get on.

      @@Tori_Hunter I don't know. Magic wand maybe? 😀 I can't seem to find a go to wash routine that works all (or most) of the time. Tend to have stringy waves alot. And by the end of the day my hair just gets fluffier and bigger and loses definition so I have to put it up. I've tried a lot of different products and can't seem to find that holy grail. Been about 18 months now on and off, and although I can see an improvement from when I started, I just feel messy, fluffy and frizzy mostly. The overnight heatless curls have been a saviour though. That and the straighteners unfortunately x

      @Tori_Hunter 11 дней назад

      @nicolaroberts6878 ah sorry a magic wand is something I can’t provide, sadly 😞 Which method do you use? I found the only real technique that would work in my early days was my version of the bowl method - my hair really needed ALL the hydration or otherwise it would be a frizz ball. I also found gel was the best option to lock in the moisture … I think method matters more than product tho. X

    • @nicolaroberts6878
      @nicolaroberts6878 11 дней назад

      @@Tori_Hunter I must admit I have tried your bowl method a couple of times and those are the times it has actually looked the best. @Tori_Hunter 11 дней назад

      You’re welcome, really hope it helps - I prefer foam over mousse so if you don’t get on with gel try out a foam. Hello Tori I've just washed my hair and brushed styled and your video came up so I'm sitting hear watching you with wet hair I always use my mousse and jelly before I brush style I have less frizz this way .Would love to see you do a video at the hairdressers having a trim and highlights have you got layers .How long before you have a trim I've gone 3 months so far it seems to be getting a bit stringy at my ends, I've cut my ends I hate going to the hairdressers as I'm trying to grow it .

    • @Tori_Hunter
      @Tori_Hunter 12 дней назад

      Hey @blondiejam - that’s interesting; I always find it more difficult to brush style if my hair as hold product in it, it sort of tangles and snags but I’m going to give it another try. I thought I might film another hairdresser vlog next appointment which will be December. So I’m going 4 months between cuts now - depending how long it is next time I might have some layers cut in, but at the moment it’s still one length. I brush my ends gently when they get a bit stringy like in this video ☺️ I also don’t like going to the hairdresser- I love the outcome but it takes hours and I get so bored and just think about all the things I could be doing 😂 how’s growing out the grey going? Do u have much colour left or is it all natural now? X

    I like more volume around my face. I’ll grab a front section of hair, parted by my ear, lift that up, back and then clip. Don’t stretch the hair, just lift place and clip. I’ll repeat on the other side. End result is the front part of my hair is half up. I’ll then go and add other clips towards my crown. I do this immediately after adding product. I’ll let the hair sit in the clips while I go make a coffee. I’ll start defusing the roots with the clips in to set the lift. I’ll then remove to continue drying and defusing. I get the volume without any weird kinks. After drying, I’ll gently put the front clips back in to set the volume while I do my makeup or get dressed. Sorry for the novel but hope that helps. I usually put gel in my hair before leaving the shower. I’ll try holding off on applying any product before brush styling. That makes a ton of sense!!

    Another lovely video Tori. I really like the Boots curl creme and I actually like the smell. I am going to buy the Ouai to see what I think of it. When you apply the product and pulse your hair, I can see you have parted it down the back. When you have finished pulsing your hair, do you then leave your hair to dry like that or put some of it at the back? Hope that makes sense. X

    • @Tori_Hunter
      @Tori_Hunter 19 дней назад

      Hey Fifi, thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it 😊 i wish i liked the smell because then it would be the perfect curl cream and an absolute bargain! I only really did that method to make sure i kept the hair separate normally I wouldn’t separate down the back in that way as it can cause separation. I like to gather all my curl clumps and scrunch them together for a better finish that doesn’t look ‘piecey’…I hope that makes sense?! X

    I'm really curious about seeing a comparison between the bounce curl brush and a cheaper dupe. I saw a few on Temu and my budget doesn't allow me to spring for the original brush, so if it doesn't go against your ethical code, I'd be really interested to learn if there's any meaningful difference

      Hey, I was thinking of doing a comparison of the bounce curl brush against say a denman or boar bristle brush but I hadn’t planned to buy a ‘dupe’ I’m afraid. That said one of the lovely ladies who subscribes to my channel has just left a comment about her dupe possibly being better than the bounce curl so maybe that’s helpful to know x

    • @blondiejam924
      @blondiejam924 19 дней назад

      I've brought the dupe from amazon and it was only £8 to see how I got on with it and I loved it so I brought the bounce curl volume brush and they are very similar except the bounce curl volume brush has more edges both of them work brilliantly they look nearly identical I've left a review on amazon

    • @katza1990
      @katza1990 19 дней назад

      @@blondiejam924 thanks for sharing your experience with them! yeah, I was guessing as much, I think, the magic is in those edges and creating enough tension in the hair when brushing. there's no reason why the bounce curl should be significantly better in terms of results, but does it feel significantly more "premium" when used?

    I'm just trying the Aussie work that curl leave-in defining curl cream so far I'm liking it and it's hydrating and smells lovely and it doesn't weigh my hair down and it's a good price .I have been using the cantu curl activator cream I only use a very small amount and I add water it's very moisturising I like both

    It looks amazing! Thank you so much for doing a step by step with the brush! That helped a lot!!! For me to get the volume on the top of my head I use a smaller clip & I place them at the very top with a piece of hair from both sides of the part so you don’t see a part when it’s dry. I use a lot more clips but it gets that curly look all over my head. Have fun experiencing!! Thank you again! 💝

    Root clipping takes some practice to figure out what works for your hair. I have a cowlick in the back I clip after diffusing 85ish% dry to help the hair set that way (since I diffuse flipping my hair side-to-side I find putting clips in too early will get my hair caught in them and make removal a pain). I haven’t used the bounce curl clips myself yet, but from what I’ve seen people put them in parallel to their part to grab both sides lift.

      Kay thank you so much for the info this is really helpful. I’ll definitely try them again at some point as I did like how full/thicker my hair felt after this routine. Will def also try waiting until my hair is drier before using them - maybe that’s why they slipped so much!
