I love older furbies. I'm 14 and I only recently started collecting because I was OBSESSED with these things as a kid. When I was younger I only had 3, my mom's 1998 leopard furby, and 2 furby booms. Sadly my mom's doesn't work but that furby is on my shelf for display, my dad wasn't able to fix her because she was mute and her gears were really loud. I sadly lost my 2 furby booms, one is with my dad, one is with who knows where in probably a storage closet. Now I have 2 original furbies, one 1999 limited edition graduation furby I got in 5th grade for 5th grade graduation year, and I recently got him to work! I have my mom's on my shelf for display, I have 2 connects, and I have one of the newer furblets. My dad is working to get me the 1998 black cat furby for a late birthday gift. My dream and goal since I was 11 was to get a 2005 because they're really cute BUT SO EXPENSIVE 😭😭😭

amazing tutorial, thank you! furby booms are my favourite and I have loads of them, but I just got some from some old friends and they're unfortunately not in the best shape. one of them was the exact same furby you used for the demonstration, so that made it way easier to find the right parts! sadly these guys' battery compartments are so badly corroded that I doubt I can get them back up and running without completely replacing it all, so I'll have to see what I can do. but at least I can get them all nice and clean :) somehow they had like,, dead bugs inside. I imagine moths crawled in hoping to eat the fur, but it's acrylic, so completely inedible. letting my little guys marinade in their soup. thanks again!

Hello, I have a question about skinning my Furby. When I try to cut the zip tie, I can’t get the lining to open up enough to cut it. When I look at it I don’t see any threads holding it together that I have to cut, it just wont move. The zip tie doesn’t move either so I can’t get to the thinner part and away from the head of the zip tie. Should I just cut the lining to get more room to cut it? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m just very nervous about skinning my furby and want to do it right. 😁

The sensor is sadly broken on my furby I have a giraffe furby and it doesn’t do the ones that cover his eyes but the other ones work besides the hiccup one but he does say wooaahhh
