Always wear protective UV glasses when using these torches, particularly the 365nm versions. If it's the 10 watt torch, the supplied 18650 battery of 2,400 mAh will only yield 6.6 watts, but if instead you fit a 3,500 mAh battery, the power upgrades to a full 10 watts. Your 365nm should be coupled with a Wood's optic glass filter. Much better and far more effective than the gimmicy violet 395nm. Just watch your eyes and skin as the UV beam can burn. great video many thanks.
I've just ordered a groovy USB rechargeable Alonefire SV005 365nm UV Flashlight. I've got another UV light by some gash Chinese company making out they're European and man it's dodgy, got 12 lil LED "type" bulb elements but a weak as f*** UV! I paid decent money for it, initially seamed okay but can't illuminate a fart unless really close-up. Doubt its even 395nm, probably more like 450nm!! Apparently 365nm _is_ the best UV as its low in the light spectrum and low _is_ go! I wanted to say thanks for the tip n trix about the battery, so I ordered an 18650 @3500Mah to get that old -black magic- 10W throwing, can't chill-easy wid 6.6W can we? So "bangin" yeah. Anyway, I never look into weird light sources, lasers, UV, Xenon or bright white light but dude, appreciate you tellin folks health n safety. So now I tell you...Stay Safe.💎💨👍
@@TheGeezzer I tested mine with a UV meter. It registered 363nm, which I thought was very good. Since 9 months ago we've had excellent use from it, but sorry yours was cr*p
Is that 395 nm with filter or pure 365nm with filter , cuz 395nm with filter of 365 will make the light dimmer ? Thank you sir
Honestly it looks like 395 doesn't it? If it was true 365 there wouldn't be that much visible light
@@Xtreme_Airgun_Slugs I think that's because its 10W or damn near to it. Most UV flashlights are 3W or less! I ordered one and remain confident it'll be a true blue 365nm.

@@Xtreme_Airgun_Slugs Thanks for letting me know - assured. I've been doing a lot of online research and everyone says its a true 365nm wavelength. There's so many other companies palming-off the weaker and 50% cheaper to produce (outer spectrum) 395nm as the pukka 365nm. Its a bloody minefield!! Sadly...many people have been caught out n ripped off. But with the _Alonefire_ brand all is reported okay (like you - added to the list) they just went cheap-shit on the included battery apparently. Okay...ain't sweatin it...ordered a 3500 Mah ~ 3.7v 18650 off eBay...sorted.
@@TheGeezzer Yep, battery is almost useless, can confirm. Had to recharge mine today after less than 10 minutes of use. I have other 18650 batteries though and recommend that anyone who buys this UV light buys a different battery. Other than that, it's awesome.
