Why do some filipino peoples here blame Christianity for their loss of culture instead of the Spaniards? Christ Jesus never intended for his followers to ravage lands, only convert the its people to the truth. Which is his way, and his life.

I'm just jealous of the Samoans, Aztecs, Tainos, Vikings Got to keep some of there ancient traditions an artwork music Buildings like the pyramids an old language alive. Even the tattoos are beautiful. The pinoy indigenous were looked upon as savages unfortunately i suppose. I guess our Native roots gotta be destroyed an forgotten. Wish it had a museum. White man probably destroyed it all? Shoutout to the Aetas an Igorot. Never be ashamed of our brown skin.
actually aetas or what the international world called negrito are not austronesians so while they are technically filipino we don't share the same ethnic group with them as they go here first before our ethnic group austronesian that came from taiwan, only the igorots are austronesians not negritos but yes we must value them as well as they are the first people of this land before our ancestors colonize this land

Hey filipinos on the internet, if you're interested getting a bit more into Filipino indigenous music, I spent a portion of my life really exploring it and I've found it's hard to find good recordings of the stuff on youtube, so I made a small collection here of some of the beautiful traditional music forms which we have preserved via youtube I've put the titles (youtube doesn't like links) here: Tribal sounds of the Philippines • T'BOLI (showcase of various: short singing passage, a stringed instrument: (hegelung) + mouth-harp (kubing), a gong melody instrument (kulintang), & drumming) Kutiyapi - pamipi sa dital (stringed instrument called kutiyapi of Maguindanao, very bad quality video but good song) Hegelung : The Woodpecker (stringed instrument called hegelung of T'boli tribe) Jessie Gan - Faglong Master (similar stringed instrument called faglung of B'laan) Many videos from channel "Harold Andre" are Kulintang performances (Maguindanaon style) which are very good. If you're still not overwhelmed, or just are interested in more, I've put many more in a reply to this post.
Hopefully I don't look like too much of a weirdo posting a bunch of random youtube video recommendations in a comment section :P) Kulintang: Fred-Ho: Kapagonor (professionally recorded) Filipino Martial Arts Soundtrack 3 (professionally recorded) The Cotobato Sessions (professionally recorded) FARID GUINOMLA - Kulintang a Kamamatuan (Maguindanaon Kulintang Music) (Home video but interesting w/ 10 gong kulintang instead of 8) YT Channel Philippine-Korea team Various from T'boli tribe: Tboli Music Instruments | Kulingtan | Kubing (Jaw Harp) | S'loli (Bamboo Flute) | Tnonggong Tribal people playing musical instruments | T'boli, Philippines Various from Palawan (different culture, interesting scales) In Memory of Pala'wan Master Artist Masino Intaray (1943-2013) The KUSIYAPÌ, KUDLONGAN and KUDYAPI of the PALA’WAN. Kutiyapi: Kudyapi - Master Samaon Sulaiman (recorded performance) Master Bitol Sulaiman Master Ismael Ahmad plays the Kutiyapi (various players, good quality) Ibrahim and Morsid Sulaiman play the Kutiyapi (various players, good quality) KUTYAPI - ISMAEL AHMAD (Maguindanaon Musical Culture) (good quality) VTS 01 1 (awful quality but many songs) Hegelung: In Memory of Pala'wan Master Artist Masino Intaray (1943-2013) Two Hegelung solos from south Cotabato, Philippines Woodpecker Song by B'laan Jessie Gan Singing: Tboli Chanting - Ye Gas sings! t'boli singer y'egas Other: Bamboo harp [YT channel KlangWelten]
Thank you so much, I’ve been searching for ways back to the roots post colonialism and music is such a beautiful place to start. Thank you for sharing this, amazing🫶
❤ salamat kaayo!
I'm looking for precolonial Filipino music
wow thank you s muchhh ❤❤
Fuck religions, do you know how Christianity came to us? They colonized and kill our ancestors and kababayan. Now think twice, is religion really good?
our indigenious belief is more open minded and peaceful and eco friendly like anito, it's very similar to shinto, shamanism etc. i wish it will have a comebavk

We should have Filipinos bring back indigenous music and OR incorporate this into modern Filipino music genres. We need more musical creativity and innovation in the Philippines instead of this dull kpop and soft rnb drivel that doesn’t define us.
Can i use this for youtube video?

Ever since I watched the Moana movie, I started to be very curious of our ancestors and their native ancient lives. Sadly, I found very few, just works of Jose Rizal about colonialism are only the ones being taught to us at school 😔
Damn, yours too?
Hello po! Permission to use the audio for our documentary po, Thank you so much!
Need more or at least extended. Thank u
magandang araw po, Sancho & Morin... maaari pong humingi ng permiso para gamitin ang inyong musika para sa isang book reel? salamat po!
Not me playing this whenever I light candles💀🫡
I adore this Botong Francisco painting (the first part of "The Progress of Medicine in the Philippines")! I just visited the restored original at the National Museum, and it's awe-inspiring, really. Definitely worth a visit!
Like a movie a man captured by tribal and cannibal show in camera
There's no cannibal in the Philippines even before.
its like doing a Philippine army mission
I’m sorry, call me a colonial mentally, but I like the hispanic-filipino music and culture better…
Can I use the music for educational purpose?
