The Norwegian Environment Agency (Miljødirektoratet) closed 33 salmon rivers in Norway this season, including one of my go-to rivers, the Rauma. While it was disappointing, there’s no doubt it was the right decision given the alarming collapse in returning salmon.
With the closure, I had to rethink my plans for the season. But I’m excited to announce a new mini-series featuring videos from some smaller, local rivers. Plus, we’ll be heading north again to revisit a fishing zone we haven’t fished in four years. Stay tuned!
