Is there something about the engine operation that requires them to bring their own fuel?
Yes, the NASA ER-2 Aircraft, a high-altitude research plane, operates at altitudes where the air is too thin to support traditional combustion engines. As a result, these aircraft use specialized engines that require a different type of fuel - in this case, JP-7. Since JP-7 is not widely available and is not used in commercial aviation, NASA has to provide their own fuel for the ER-2 aircraft. This unique fuel requirement is due to the aircraft's operational needs in the high-altitude environment it operates in.

hi
2:58 WARP drive is not proven technology. To change space-time you need specific non-simetrical artificial gravity field. Doing such tricks require specific experience, which is not proven to exist. Even black holes carry full amount of mass inside to generate gravity field outside of event horizon despite physics tell us about collapse of the space.
What if IXS Enterprise would look like as Gerry Anderson vehicles?

This was incredibly inspiring....loved this!
The Crew of such a ship would have to be prepared for anything!! Once they leave the solar system they will be out of transmission range. They'd be on their own!
Good shots, folks.
Thank you
the solar array isn't fully deployed, you can see the copper cap at the end, there are still stripe of solar cell that are folded inside. this is because the station will be rotated when the next module arrive in a couple of month, so the panel is only half extended to avoid it from flexing too much during the rotation, once the station is properly rotated, the axis that control the direction of the panel will also change, it would have 2 axis of freedom like the ISS to track the sun without needing the station to be align to it. the solar panel on the core module will also be migrated to the rotating axis by the robotic arm.
nice music
Great 😀😀
epic job- buddy,;)
BS those little pieces that moved CNG . good camo for a reverse plasma engine though.
i always thought sonic booms were awesome
Great short video!
Fantastic! I had no idea about the contribution to asteroid knowledge by Gaia. And the visual representations of the data are magnificent; only wish my iPad could project in 3D! C’mon, Apple……..
Yeah you right 😊
What an incredible decade this is for astronomy. Multiple amazing space and ground based telescopes coming within the next few years. Combine all that with the new era of exascale computing and its a recipe for awesome discoveries.
Bayesian inference essentially uses past history to calculate the probability of a future event. As such, I would say that being stacked on top of the Atlas V rocket at 172 ft, is probably the highest altitude it will ever reach.
