Question: I get that you sterilized the liquid before adding the dried mushroom piece, but did you do anything to prevent contamination from anything that might have been on the dried mushroom?

Why would you suck in and out with the syringe instead of just capping and shaking? It seems like you are just opening yourself up to contamination and loss like your spillage by doing so. Honest question. I’m about to do this for the first time and that didn’t seem to make any sense to a layman.

I had my first batch good bad on me. an i just got delivered some spawn bags. but i was out of spore syringes. yours was only video I found after searching for bout hour an half!! showing an other was but using agar with swabs. well i didn't have agar. an i thought the idea is solid in principle. just wondered how much of the spore actually, separate from the cotton. An well im not a quite, an i was so happy when i seen the white after two days. an the i look an bad green. an it spread quick. so i performed this method. although i cut mine into as small as peaces as possible. ( like chucks from from four corners. i ended up with bout 3-4 peaces of one swab. I take peptides, an had some batirea water. I'm quite sure I spelled that wrong. but basically its sterile water that is injected into a powdered form of a peptide. If you don't know what a peptide is. im sorry i cant help you. lol jk google it. I do suggest look into them, they can help so many different life shit an getting old shit. OK back from my rant; so instead of the distilled water. i had a 10cc syringe ready with needle an cap on. pulled out plunger an put the peaces in the syringe. then placed the plunger back. slowly... even though the spores are like spooning with the cotton. an yes im jealous that something is spooning. an pushed the air out. I then drew back with bout 5-6 ML i thought 10 was much. an they didn't seem to be any color like you said. but spore are so tiny. an i shook that thing like single man on Saturday on the couch alone. well cause i was.. lol waited little bit. shook it some more. an then I paused for second. an my inter voice told me, you an idiot this isnt gonna work. but there was no turning back. so stuff the grain bag. just like you would. i got nothing on that one. forget bout it. So mr. blue glove man. if this doesn't work. Im gonna have to assume that were both stupid to believe that would work. an for my next one. im using the second swab to swab between my toes, wear socks a whole week same pair. i stay by this is a mushroom grows off my feet. I will eat that sucker.... lmao hahhaa just a little humor..... did really do this on march 19 -2024 will see, seem to pass all the cotton thru the syringe except 2 peaces. so will keep y'all updated.
