Did you ever finish the van?
I'm interested in the end result too
Stagger your joints.
I have a 1998 Dodge conversion van and I am about to put a floor over my carpet so this was very helpful. Your job came out great and looks awesome. Safe travels.

does your a/c and heater work in this van?
The rear ac/heater was removed after floor installation and patched with furring strips, plywood, and vinyl flooring. We are using a buddy heater to save on fuel and are planning an upgrade to a diesel heater.
Hey i just bought the same van and I’m doing the same exact thing!! I cant wait to see what you guys do next. I’ll definitely be using this for reference. I’m wondering is the rust removal necessary? I hadn’t considered doing that. Also will you be putting new insulation and walls on the side panels? Thanks!
It's probably not absolutely necessary but we wanted to make sure that the rust spots wouldn't grow. In other words, better safe than sorry!
As far as the side panels go, we sized 1 inch poly foam board and then glued it on with 3M spay adhesive before adding framing for our walls. It had to be done in sections to be sure and cover as much wall as possible. We kept the window trim and painted it white and reinstalled after the walls were done. I need to get an updated video up :)
Floor turned out nice!
Thank you 😊
