I had my TT, lipo and muscle repair on Tuesday and it's now Friday. I expected the hip to hip incision to be most painful, but it's actually the muscle repair that hurts the most. It's like being kicked in the stomach with a steel toed cowboy boot. Mostly, once I'm settled in a recliner or bed, I'm okay, but the transitions were tough. Time your walking/moving to be at least 45 minutes after your painkiller if possible. I happen to have a Toto bidet seat toilet and would highly recommend getting an inexpensive bidet seat that replaces your toilet seat if you don't already have one. Clean up is much easier and I don't feel gross. My doctor had me take ondansetron one hour before surgery and I was given enough to last until the opiates were finished. Game changer for people who get sick from opiates. My doctor didn't require a board to use. I'm still using the post-op binder. He recommended a Spanx garment for when I stop using the binder. I noticed that the Spanx website offers some models in petite sizes, including the model my doctor recommended. I tried it on before surgery and was happy I got the petite size. If not, I'd have had to cut out space for my breasts because I'm only 5'1". And if you had muscle repair, buy prunes and Dulcolax chews ahead of time. Opiates and protein drinks will stop you up and you don't want to strain. Also, if you don't have a recliner, consider renting one from a medical supplier. It's much easier to get in and out of than a bed. I took the hydrocodone as often as I could on days one, two and three to keep ahead of the pain as best I could. After the first night, I slept through the night without waking up in pain. Today, I'm able to last 6 hours instead of 4. Good luck to everyone doing this.

I want a mini as well. I dont have much muscle seperation. Why did you opt for a mini vs a regular TT?

Did it hurt to get the tubes taken out? Faja is the Spanish word for those compression garments. Wasn’t known 20 years ago in the United States 😊

I think plastic surgeons should show the incision site after surgery and one and two-year updates I am so tired of seeing the afters hideing the site with underwear and tape

You will probably have to send FFF's customer service a picture, but they will replace it if they have stock.

If you call customer service they will assist you with another one. I had the purple Olaplex from a summer box and some of it leaked. They sent me a new one.

I learned from another surgery that sniffing an alcohol pad helps with neasuea. I was surprised how quick and easy it took the sickness away.

It’s not accurate to tell people they need to be at goal wt. My body can’t actually weigh 150 unless my left leg gets amputated. I have stage 3 lymphedema and the lymph fluid causes my leg to weigh triple. I also lost over 100 pounds and suffered from an extreme diastatis recti. Fixing the skin hanging and getting muscle repair means I can finally level up and continue on my health journey- understanding that if I lose more weight (which I have already dropped 10pounds in 3 weeks) I most likely will have to cash pay for additional surgeries. The money means nothing to those of us disfigured and dealing with massive volumes of skin and infections etc. Im 48. 5’4” and weighed in 196 dos. I look as thin as you. I weigh 182. My bra size is 38 DDD MY butt is a natural bbl. All the rest I agree with.

You look amazing! I want my FUPA GONE! That flap-over from having a tubal reversal (same scar as c-section) then having a second child at 34! I have a flap. I hate it. Im about 25 lbs overweight, in menopause. My only fear is problems like blood, clots, and things that are possibly fatal. I guess that could happen with any surgical procedure. My biggest DO Before having a tummy tuck is to have realistic expectations and to manage them. I had a TT with MR 5 weeks ago. I thought I would wake up, flat as a pancake with no more thoughts of hating my body anymore...how wrong I was. Sure, my belly looks better but it's no where near what I thought it would be. I'm not sure I'd recommend a TT to someone I love. Recovery is hell and the whole journey is bit of a mind F to be honest. I wouldn't say I regret having it done BUT I do wish I'd known that clothes would only look a bit better instead of thinking I'd wake up looking like Megan Fox 🤣

You said you had a mini tummy tuck? What's the difference? Also, Drinking lots of water is definitely the right thing to do...with that, is going to restroom so many times difficult?

It's ok to watch other women's videos of tummy tuck and recovery, but I agree with you 100% that you should follow your own surgeon's instructions... I agree that he/she knows your specific your body now I , too am aiming for goal weight of 125 lbs before my tuck in January 2023, I am currently at 133 lbs so I am on my way .. I am 5'2" ... just curious as to your height? I run/walk most days and have just begun some exercie moves to fill in ... lower body and some core and arms .. I have 3 months to go! You look beautiful! I am having a full tuck, sot such a large tummy but definitely need reshaping and loose skin removed after baby weight some years ago. :)
