Shortest movie with an intermission

"Kiss me Kate" (1953) is only 108 minutos long but has a five-minute intermission to replicate the experience of the play, divided in two acts (however, the order of the musical numbers is not the same). "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is considered for some people the shortest movie with an intermission but it's actually a joke "intermission".

This scene from "A year in the life: Spring" sealed the fate of Rory Gilmore's character (performed by Alexis Bledel). Earlier in the episode, Rory rejected help from Mitch Huntzberger (Gregg Henry) and Chilton's headmaster Mr. Charleston (Dakin Matthews) thinking she could get a job without a previous interview with Sandee (Julia Goldani Telles), resulting in the downfall of this character. Disney Channel - Politically incorrect scene
When she sang “I got those Monday blues, straight through Sunday blues” she could’ve easily went beast mode but stayed in that pocket. Beautiful performance!
Who would have thought that Rory not only would end up as a loser but also as a delusional loser. She ends up writting a book about her life and thinkig that people would be falling over themselves to get it in bookstores. Come on, to see this..? who would be interested in knowing anything about her lame life...? Compare her to Butters Stotch for ex, the purpoted author of the acclaimed The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs who before he was ten he had a) led a Mexican Revolution b) set fire to his school c) worked as the most succesful pimp in the state of Colorado, d) been a Somalian pirat e) befriended a 2000 year old mummy f) owned/managed a fast food franchise g) been a super villain. Doctor Chaos and h) faked his own death among other things. Eat your heart out Rory Gilmore, that life is worth reading about.
You want to tell me that this nerdy, witty, well organized girl who was always prepared in advance for the smallest events in her life didn't prepare at all for her last resort job after being jobless for who knows how long? Don't get me wrong, real life likes to correct your plans and sometimes it hits you so hard that you don't even know where's up or down,so her being a mess, nowhere near what she was planning for herself is realistic. But since she always wanted to be a journalist I would expect her to have the drive for it. (I don't know anything about journalism so correct me if I'm wrong on how that works). She still could write articles and sending/pitching them to magazines and maybe get it printed,no? At least try. Or maybe create a blog and write your own articles there and maybe it will get the attention needed.(My memory is fuzzy since when blogs were a thing and what's the time here,so forgive me) Then,(if I'm somewhat right above) it unfortunately shows that Mitchum was right, she didn't have what it takes. She had that "when I grow up I want to be..." thing and held on to it for far too long. She was so laser focused on it,she never explored if there's anything else she might like to do/be.
The heartache echoey inflections are divine… I’m surprised the love boat isn’t back on tv it was so good
The only woman repeatedly awarded TV Guides most beautiful woman , without being in anything at the time.
No way someone from Yale would act like that in an interview...
I love them all. But Jaclyn Smith is the Charlie's Angel. She has the whole package as hot, tall, sexy, absolutely adorable Hollywood Goddess. And she's pretty funny as well.
I hate how she says, “what,” like nobody ever taught her that was rude?
This is genuinely so cute.
She should have done reasearch.
Let me pull out my cigar and Whiskey... you betta SING the song how its supposed to be sung Jennifer!!!
Angel of the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Oh my god... Rory is so entitled 😂
I have interviewed hundreds of times. Went through 2 tech layoffs. Sometimes you walk out of interviews thinking "wow i'm the biggest airhead in the world." But then you tweak and improve and learn what not to say. You keep trying! For anyone that bombed an intervkew, i believe in you. Don't give up! But yes Rory coming unprepared was CRAY C.
i get the whole "it's her dream job" but again life is unpredictable she can get a better job that's fitting for her literally she's smart but it's just she's so entitled and out of touch she won't be open minded to other things she probably suit more
Bunheads
_That’s a different outfit_ Rory was more concerned with what she was wearing 🙄
She was smiokin in that outfit .
fun fact: the guy singing is scuttle from the little mermaid
Buddy Hackett. I remember him as Tennessee Steinmetz from The Love Bug.
How is this girl the same person cause like back in the actual tv show she literally got mad at Richard because he didn’t tell her about an interview and she wanted to prepare for it😭

A very talented lady!💖💕💖💖💖

This is so painful I can’t watch

The fact that she couldn't come up with even basic ideas was embarrassing. Even Carrie Bradshaw could pull ideas out of her a## when she needed to.
I never really noticed Farrah Fawcett in Charlie's Angels; and it was not just because I was an 11 years old. It was because Jacklyn Smith stole every scene she appeared in. Beautiful and seductive with sultry lips and a timbre of voice that I still find unsettling, 50 years later. Wearing that silver outfit and sunglasses (0:35), nowadays one could be forgiven for believing her image was CGI.
Impresionante mujer 😻😻😻
Those questions were all soft balls! At what other time in her life could Rory not give a dozen ideas off the top of her head about interesting articles she’d love to write? It seems like her quarter-life crisis was killing her mental bandwidth. She was unhappy with her life for some reason, but we don’t even know why. We don’t know what happened to her after the series ended that made her so disconnected from herself. Everything she’s doing now is so self-destructive. What great failure did we miss? It’s hard to even picture, honestly. “I just need to be 22 again!” Why, though? What is “too late” for her to fix at 32? She’s talking like someone about to die of old age with a lifetime of regrets. Why did she revert to a more immature person than she even was in high school? What was the point of this ridiculous revival? They massacred these characters. Even Scott Patterson (who played Luke) said he probably wouldn’t have been in the revival if he’d read the script first.
Being the CEO and being called to an “emergency meeting” is very telling 😂
I mean, you get a face to face with the CEO and you don't dazzle them? You don't belong there. 😂
The irony of Rory expressing she didn't want the job and still got mad she wasn't hired. She embarrassed herself.
It’s weird she thought it was her first day working which is one thing not being prepared to interview but if it was her first day, she would’ve had an offer letter signed and salary discussed, all that is done before hand.
Agree
I dislike Rory's entitlement and generally shitty behavior as much as anyone else but honesty I'm on her side here. Sandee spent a year hounding her, saying they need Rory Gilmore and practically begging Rory to come in. She presented this like it was an honest to god job offer not a job interview. I do think Rory being unprepared wasn't great but I see Sandee's conduct as a lot more underhanded and unprofessional than Rory's in this situation. It honestly felt like a bait and switch to me and I think this was legitimately a waste of Rory's time. If someone hounded me for a year with a job offer but then sandbagged me like this and didn't even hire me I'd be a little pissed
If she wasn’t prepared for interview questions like “what are you going to write for us,” then she was NOT ready to start writing for them that day. Rory was never suited to journalism to begin with.
I see it as the opposite, I don’t think it would have even occurred to Sandy that someone of the caliber she thought Rory to be when she was pursuing her would be utterly unable to answer the question, “What would you write for us?” I think she was expecting a whole bunch of great ideas, and she would have made it official, hiring her right then and there. Even if Rory thought it was her first day (without any official documentation of an offer or her hiring), was she planning to just stare into space, thinking about “the world…and culture”? How is that her approach to a new job? She had a wide-open layup and turned the ball over while tripping over her own feet and falling flat on her face, lol.
@@amipadme3985that's a very good point. How did she expect to just sign a contract and go sit at her desk? She didn't even check their website and read their articles. She didn't know anything beside the position. I know I would expect at least conversation with someone first and some swift introduction to their workplace, how things are done there before going to HR to sign papers.
@@karolina285she expected to just sign a contract because that's what she was under the impression was happening. I don't know if she expected to start that day but she was told "come work for us we need you on our team come on" for a year. That's not the same as offering an interview for a job. A job offer is saying you come in and you work for us and that is what this whole thing was presented to Rory as
@@Angaloth19 I'm not saying Rory wasn't unprepared for the job or even that journalism was the right path for her (it absolutely wasn't for a plethora of reasons most notably her inability to take criticism). But a surprise job interview isn't the same as beginning work for a paper. If she was starting that day then she'd be able to do some brainstorming before putting pen to paper on an article. If it was a "we sort out all the hiring stuff and you start next Monday" type situation then she'd have a whole week to come up with some ideas and get to work on whatever she wanted to write the moment she walked in the door. But a surprise job interview on the spot that she hasn't had the opportunity to prepare for, I don't blame her for being caught off guard. Yes Rory was unprofessional in not coming in prepared. I just consider Sandee's conduct more unprofessional
The interviewer was in the right here. Rory came in, expecting to get hired even though she didn’t know anything about the job she was interviewing for, she had nothing to offer and then she got mad at the CEO and accused her of getting her hopes up. Why was she even applying for this position if she didn’t want it?? Her entitlement is unbelievable. She’s developed a drier personality than wall paint.

Oh, man.....did I love Jaclyn Smith
From the episode of Loveboat
whats wrong with this guy ...
Really Pretty 😍 especially in that White Bikini❤❤❤
For my opinion, Rory should have done research on that job place and practice with someone on interviews since never know what to expect.
Back when Jaclyn Smith was seriously hot. On another note what is it with the costume she was wearing? It looks like something from the late 60s.
It’s spelled Jaclyn btw🙄
There is no way I would have turned the light off!
"Yes, please do sit down. And please face directly towards me."
Jacklyn Smith is a beautiful woman and actress ! so sexy and élégante
Stunning beauty
