Perhaps the most beautiful and fascinating small yacht, to say nothing if she's a wooden Borrensen..., I use to crew randomly on a charming 1958 5.5 IR by Baglietto but I regret I never had a chance to try a Dragon...

I noticed the youngster, probably a son or daughter, who goes below before the windward mark and then comes back out right at the end when the set and gybe and elbow flying is done. Reminds me of me when I was 7 years old with my dad and his friends....it's how I started to sail! I'm now 67! thanks again.

I think you get your weight out much more when hiking when you are feet in with hiking straps like this than with sitting on a rail with lifelines which is the most common with keelboats nowadays. The other thing is the crew is facing the right way for 'action' when facing in, as well as much more mobile. Great video! one the Dragon!

Mmmm....time to get on the bilge pump me thinks. Great sailing action though. Its been over 40 years since I sailed on a Dragon but they are a great boat, especially in a bit of wind.
