Beautiful video, amamazing adventure. Anyone have guidance on the street scrambler 900? I have a speed triple 1200 rs and a thruxton rs....I'm not a speed demon nor a knee dragged but do appreciate some power when needed, appreciate the stability and stoutness of a solid chassis, brakes, and suspension. Would the Street Scrambler 900 be too small or underpowered and wind up being just gorgeous to look at in the garage? From videos and reading....I want one! Just don't want to get bored. Thank you for the video and the insight!

Sorry for my late reply. I actually have a new motorcycle, I try FT1 20 gold line edition. I’ll have to dig in to some paperwork because I don’t remember off the top of my head which tires these were. As far as performance goes, they were great didn’t have any issues. As is typical with this kind of tire, they are louder than the normal street version that comes with the bike. But I didn’t have any issues with, the motorcycle drifting, etc.

This video is a year old so maybe you won't even see this comment, but if you do, thank you!!!. I came across your vlog because I've been looking at all things triumph scrambler & it just magically appeared thanks to RUclips algorithms. My thanks is because of the landscape you rode through & did a brilliant job of showing it in an all it's raw beauty. I grew up in Santa Fe NM & from 1986 to 90 lived & went to university in Austin. I left the state's in 95 moving first to the Czech Republic and in 2000 moved to the UK were I've lived ever since. It's been so long that I don't really miss anything but tamales, Frito pies from Walgreens on the plaza and the raw rugged beauty of the landscape. Was nice to see it again. This is exactly what I've been dying to do. I live in Katy, TX and was looking to buy a nice classic Triumph that could fit in the back of my mid size truck with a 5' bed so I was considering the 2023 Scrambler 900. I think that is the same bike you have with just a name change. I wasn't sure if it would be as capable as the Scrambler 1200 XE. That model is too long to fit in the bed though. I want to do pretty much the same route except I was thinking of staying in Alpine. If I could do a few days then I could spend maybe 2 days touring through Terlingua following the Rio Grande down to Beg Bend and then back up to Alpine. I'm glad I found your video. It answered a couple of my questions with regards to some of the back dirt roads. Did you ride all the way from the Austin area, or did you trailer to the Davis Mountains and the ride to Big Bend? I'd be interested in having a conversation since you have done exactly what my bucket list is calling for. Hope to hear back from you with any answers as well as any good advice. Great video by the way.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Yes, I rode all the way from the Austin area up to Fort Davis, which became kind of a homebase for my trips around the Fort Davis area, and then down to Big Bend and back. The scrambler, in my opinion is more than capable. Seems like it would be a great time of the year to head on and check that box on your bucket list! Sure, I’m open to having a conversation. I am swamped with projects his week, but maybe next week. Not sure how we can instant message each other as sharing a phone number here probably isn’t a good idea. I’m not that tech savvy. "...oesn’t overpower that sweet, sweet 900 cc parallel twin exhaust note!" Couldn't have said any better myself, David! Please pass the word about Wolf On The Word. Working on an upcoming video on Billy The Kid - why there are 2 graves (in Texas & New Mexico)...Best to you, brother!
