Doing a practice ARA unlimited target with my 2500x using some Lapua long range ammo. Wind was a little switchy at about 3-5 mph. Ended up with a score of 2050 with 13x, lots of 50s that were just barely out so something to improve upon.

I feel like having large boards behind the targets is nearly cheating. Instead of target acquisition you're just searching for gigantic red boards.
This video is a fantastic showcase of incredible shooting precision and focus. The breakdown of techniques and strategies is very insightful, especially for those looking to improve their marksmanship skills. Great content for both beginners and seasoned shooters alike!
Awesome thanks
Just found your channel. Thanks for the video. I’ve never seen someone make the pyramid look small, but you are either a gigantic human being, or your camera is playing tricks on me.
Probably a little bit of both haha
Can confirm, had the pleasure of squadding with Armin at the NW PRS rimfire finale. Taller than your average shooter, not quite Darrond tall however.
Man, you sure make that look easy. I'm just getting into this sport. Shot my first cof this December. It was very cold and windy but still fun.
Looks like you need a bigger rear bag....😆
Good thing I know a guy..
Thank. 🙏 That’s an awesome setup you’re working with. 👍👍 Having colored bullet berms sure makes those targets nice to see. 😎
Thank you. And for sure! A lot easier to acquire targets when there is a steel backstop. Required at our range to prevent ricochets.
If you think this COF is "straightforward", leave a like.
Who made your stock ?
it was done by Randy Owens at Rotex Stocks
Holy Moses! Wish I could find that ammo in stock to try out. Heard SK long range match was pretty good as well but, everyone is out of stock at the moment. When do they usually roll out shipments of Lapua or SK to USA? Thanks
It's a hit or miss finding anything lapua in stock nowadays. Just gotta stay persistent and keep looking online. Same for sk long range.
So much target swinging with that rooftop stage
Yea just depends on the day and how we set up the targets. But it's definitely something I gotta work on to just wait rather than take bad shots.
@idahoarmin at yours is variable at your range. Those tall target hangers at DRRC will swing no matter what when they are used
It just feels right that I make the first comment since I got first place at the match. Normally silver is Eric's thing but it looks good on you. 😆
Do you use a Garmin xero C1 chronograph? Its a great tool to see the POI shift vs FPS. Instant feed back. SD & ES tells the story even high ammo suffer from poor performance. I use the C1 100% of the time I have it on ARCA rail mount. With a Trigger Cam and the Garmin the post game review on the big screen is a great training tool to learn the wind game. It nice to see where all that money is going.
Nice setup, what Stock are you using? Looks like a McMillan Stocks Straight line Edge Solid Fill Stock Solid Black. How do like it ? Are you using a B&A single stage Comp with a 24 in .900 a 4 groove ratchet with a HS comp. I am in the process of getting one. How did you decide on the wood or fiberglass stock looks or ? Does the stock have the brass weight. I like watching your videos. Good content. Thx
I'll end up doing some indepth videos on my bench guns but this one is a 2500x in a Rotex low profile stock done by randy Owens. It has a 4 groove ratchet with a bix comp trigger. The stock doesn't have any weights to add like the McMillan but it's very dense and heavy which I like.
@@idahoarmin I just ordered one from Randy. I got the low profile version. keep the good work. Thx
Id be interested in the details of your rifle build.
Very impressive. Do you have your scope maxed out at that range?
I do. I run it at 60x power.
Oh that .22 recoil is so sweet. And tiny. Don't forget tiny.
Great footage! I’m planning on getting out to a NRL22 match out soon! Waiting for my CZ 457 to come in the mail 🤩
Awesome video. Love the scope view as your PIP
That was really cool being able to see through your scope - good shooting!
That's rough when those little targets swing for days like that. I'm starting to become less and less of a fan of the double target hangers.
Yea its a pain especially on high movement stages where the time really comes into play.
@@idahoarmin agreed. It's hard to balance how much time you can wait for them to stop swinging compared to how much time you need for the rest of the positions
Nice shooting! It’s impressive how stable you shoot and how accurate your CZ is.
Thank you!
I appreciate your videos because we are a similar size. It's tough to get position advice from these five foot tall guys. I opted not to use the bipod on the barrel and block stage and I dropped two shots, both on the barrel.
Yea for me it really depends on the stability of the barrel. I shot off of some where they were rock solid and using only a bag was perfectly fine whereas the one we have now is not the most stable and the bipod really helps if you can manage it.
What a finish for Justin and Eric! -3 is something to be proud of! Gotta watch those swingers and cheat that elevation a bit! Absolutely solid pacing, especially on the Pyramid. Absolute Master class. A joy to watch!
Thanks! Yea to take first at our club now, you gotta clean the match with a fast time in the tie break. Otherwise you're gonna be 3rd or 4th hah.
nice shooting Tex !
Very good💀🥜📌🔨🎯, i can't wait to run one of these. Not sure if I'll make this month. i want to get some good practice in and my build isn't done yet
Make sure your gun is balanced man. Single most important thing in shooting an NRL/PRS match.
@idahoarmin thanks 😊 I've got the mdt acc premier chassis internal and external weights to get it balanced. its been at cerakote for over 2 weeks and I barely ran before I sent it off so I have a lot of practice to do
This really shows how superior the 2500x is
Yea totally. You can definitely get a CZ, rimx or vudoo to shoot well but benchrest accuracy is in a different level in terms of consistency.
If I keep watching you I am gonna end up having me a custom rifle built. Great job!
Hah all of this is just one big money pit!
You done awesome. That rifle is hard to beat.
Hi, weight the ammo and see the different in your groups, oh where did you get the thumb rest from. cheers
I dont really mess with the ammo at that scale. Either the lot shoots and I use it or I try a different lot. The thumb rest comes with the PDC chassis.
Great shooting and adjustments!! Thanks for sharing
Great work!! What stock is that ?
This is a PWC stock made by randy Owens
That’s a neat rig you got there!
thank you
Do you have any issue with the port on the right? I’m left handed, so don’t have as many options. I’ve been looking for a right side port action, for i thought it would be hard to feed rounds sitting on the other side. This doesn’t appear to be an issue for you
I personally prefer everything on my right side. I'm just used to loading and running the bolt with my right. I know a ton of people like to have the bolt on the right and port on the left for loading. They sell the action in both configurations. In this configuration, even though I can see into the port, the ramp is good enough that I can run everything without looking.
There seems to be some different opinions on how this is scored. You scored yourself low. Dayatthe range was taking the higher score if most of the round was in the higher score.
Yea the way I understood it is for a 5, the whole round needs to be in the blue, but others are scoring a 5 if the majority is in the blue.
Nice work. Watching you correct reminded me of the game we played as kids Marco Polo. I feel it best describes rimfire as no sooner do you corrections improve shot placement and then it moves again lol. It's a never ending game of chase. That is is the realities of the game LOL. Keep the great videos coming.
Good shooting, hard challenge! My best is a 76 with my junkiest setup. Glenfield mod 60 with a plastic rest on a piece of foam to get it to height!😅
It's a tough one for sure! I was really expecting to get a score somewhere in the mid 70s with this gun ammo combo so I was pleasantly surprised.
@@idahoarmin 🫡
Nice shooting. Is that a PDC Custom Chassis? What weight set do you have on it?
Yea it's a PDC. The weights are just custom pieces of metal I drilled to be able to screw them onto the chassis. The one I got doesn't support the weight kit that PDC offers. Only the other version does.
Nice shooting id give that 3 as a 4 sure looks like it broke the line
Yea Im not 100% sure. i was going off of wherever the majority of the bullet landed except in the center where I thought the entire bullet had to be in the blue.
Pretty sure if you cut the line highest score counts other than the 5 which has to be dead centre
Nice job 🇺🇸
Armin. Good video. Really great shooting. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Nice not bad at all, can't wait to see what you get with the 2500x
Nice
NOW....Let's see you do it when it's not clamped in a vice
A vice would be nice haha. In ARA, the rifle can't be clamped down.
Bravo 😊
Hvala 😄
Good work! 💪
Nice well done 👍📌🔨🎯
Amazing shooting sir
Thank you!
Fantastic
Awesome shooting! Is that 50yds or 100?
This is at 50 yards for the ARA target
