This would never do in a Production shop. To slow.
Interesting video 👍
Wow, this is an amazing product. You could say it's pretty rad 🤙
What a F&^%king Palava , also very amateurish Video, plainly obvious the radiator/pipework were for showroom demonstration purposes and not alive. As a retired and qualified Heating Engineer I would not buy one of this gadgets if you paid me, also as for black water in the system that is a sure sign of system design faults plus poor system maintenance. Trouble with Cheap Installations. My systems were warranted for 25 years and never had a claim. Always had six to nine months work ahead.
Love it
Pull a vaccum, that save draining down.
Good Information
Amazing tool 👍😊
👍 very helpful
I just used a small rubber bung pressed on in 2 seconds , and a spring hand clamp to hold it in when moving the rad .
Really love these inventions!! Will definitely help on those nightmare jobs.
If you have that much room and that fitting, just bang a 15mm compression cap on. be done in 2 seconds and no chance its coming off🤷♂️
Some interesting points here that I’ve never even considered! Perhaps edit the title of the video though, bearing in mind of the comments. Thanks OP.
If you have a ft of pipe cut the" F" pipe1/4 inch that's it bingo!!🤔😎👍🍺🍺🙄🙄
Looks suspiciously easy when you do it, I think I'll call a plumber!
Show us how it’s used in a real life scenario. Go underneath a sink in a tight space with drain in the way. See how much room you have to put it in place and how much leverage you have when it comes time to squeeze the handles.
Best radiator fixings for hollow walls and cavity wall are Bullfix Plasterboard fixings, one fixing can hold a mans weight. ruclips.net/video/I79Y0YJNKRM/видео.html
Didn’t show us how to remove the radiator without draining!
All that for 15mm olive
Too bullcky
The olive puller that appears at 1:08 looks good, but it is fairly large and may not fit in some situations. It also depends on hand strength to make it work, which may be an issue for some users. In many cases, the smaller the tool, the better. One such tool I've seen is the Dual Thread Compression Sleeve Puller, which measures just under two (2) inches long. It will work on 1/2" copper pipe. It is made in China of hardened steel for the English Tool Co., Anaheim, CA. The website is www.englishtoolco.com. It fits virtually anywhere and can be turned with a wrench or a socket and ratchet. There's a video here on RUclips about it from "SeeJaneDrill"; Leah does the videos for the site and found it very helpful.
Different tools for different situations, you still need good hand / arm strength for the threaded pullers, if olive to be removed is still connected to system, it can rotate copper pipe under floorboards etc and cause leaks at other end of pipe, screw type pullers also relies on threads of nut to be removed, usually BSP, there are metric threads out there, this one does not and removes 10, 15, and 22mm olives irrespective of thread.
What a lot a fuss for removing a olive. Monument olive cutter for me
I thought this video was supposed to show me how to take off a radiator without draining it? Hmm..
Certainly a bit of a messy approach. I came here with the same job to do: had a few ideas, but watched this first. As several have said, this is a rough old method and just shows the guy hasn't thought it through. I'd not heard of Radclamps before, had a look and they look pretty precarious too. So this is what I've just done - ten minutes ago - and for the record it worked a treat. Get hold of two things: 1. a proper pair of rubber gloves (marigolds would probably do) ; 2. of a ball of elastic bands - or, if you're a seamstress... a small reel of knicker elastic. NOW: get your valves "ready" exactly as he did here: use a small bowl below to catch trickles. And then: 3. With scissors cut the bottom half of a rubber glove off the "fingers" end. Now cut the cylinder so liberated, at the sides so as to get two rectangles of rubber, about 4" square. 4. Take three elastic bands, and loop no.2 through no.1 and then through itself, pull to make a double-length; then pull no.3 through no.2 and then through itself, pull tight so all three are now 'in series' -- you now have a strip of rubber about 6" long. 5. Now working close to the valve, "crack" the gap between valve and radiator-end very slightly open, and SLIP the sheet of rubber into the gap, so it's roughly centred on the hole. "Lean" the valve back on it, trapping it (trickle will almost stop now) ; 6. WRAP the rubber sheet back over the end of the protruding radiator tube/ nut; 7. Take the rubber strip you made, slip it under the radiator outlet neck and pull it around the neck to "strangle" the rubber sheet around the outlet and strap it up tight like a tourniquet, tied over twice, so the whole radiator output port is fully "capped" with the rubber sheet. 8. Do same other end. 9. Wriggle the radiator free of the wall mounts, lift it clear and invert it - valve ports up to top - and stand it down somewhere it won't get kicked over. Job jobbed - with only a few drops spilled, no risk to pipes / no hassle / no need to pay an OUTRAGEOUS £32 for two bent bits of metal with rubber sleeves, that comprises 'Radclamp' (what a ripoff).
Just have a hand off someone and use your thumbs 😂
OK if you're removing olives all day, but way too big for tool bag, too many fiddly, easy to lose parts. Never had the olive puller flare a pipe.
Ok. But a bit bulky
For all the haters - ruclips.net/video/LpW91mO2NIM/видео.html
terrible video. told us nothing. how the feck does it work. I'm a decorator interested in this product but until I see it being used in wait before u buy it. also it was obvious that rad had no water in it and next time show your face. you need to get a decent marketing person to sort it out. and your shirt was terrible
I think you could improve this product a lot. Replace the fiddly black clamp with a one piece tool which has the membrane and mount attached like an L. Then attach neodynium magnets to the mount, so it just snaps onto the radiator (coat the magnets in rubber so they don't scratch paintwork).
Excellent, THANK YOU SO MUCH !!.
What if the pipes are the flexible white plastic types ? In that situation can you just lift the radiator off without disconnecting the pipes / valve from the radiator and then put on blocks ? I only need to move the radiator out an inch or so and sure there is enough play in the pipes to come out an inch ? Would it work or am I likely to flood the floor :-) ?
I'm not surprised you don't want your face seen, were you laughing when you filmed this lol So exactly how do you fit the "seals" without all that dirty smelling black gunky water coming out.
Is the olive reusable?
What a load of crap!! He hasn't shown how to fit the kit without flooding your property. Absolute bollocks and can't be done , hence why he hasn't shown it being fitted with a radiator full of water. His feet would have had an early shower which would not be out of keeping as this STINKS!!! Do not buy!!!
I live the monument olive cutter
whats wrong with a hack saw?..Nothing but this is obviously easier. I'll take this over a hack saw ANY DAY !
I want one
Me too...
Ok has anybody had any luck purchasing one of these. I want one too.
it's on ebay, amazon and www.abdtools.co.uk @@rayc1503
these radiators can be very heavy. he's wearing his socks aha. good video, thank you
How much? ?
Thank you.
Or just tighten the olive on the right which stops the flow. Then turn the trv valve to 0 and your done. No chance of slipping with silly clamping tools
Thank you, you've just fixed my radiator!
Whats wrong with a junior hacksaw ?
wow thx m8 im about to do this job on saturday and i never heard of a radclamp but im gonna get one now
Did it work?
Will we be seeing an imperial size tool?
