Hi! I use my iPhone for sound recording, placing it in the backpack. And then in post production i synchronize the audio to the GoPro clip. If u want even a better sound recording get an external mic like the Zoom h1n or h2n. iPhone is also good but personally I had a lot of problem for the wind too, cuz the iPhone doesn’t have a dead cat on the mic so I had to delete a lot of clip cuz the wind noise was still to strong.

@@gabroski I was thinking of getting the gopro media mod that comes with the wind cat and then later adding an external microphone to it. what do you say

If u use the mediamod without any other mic for pure sound recording I think is not the best option, because with the media mod u keep the mic on your helmet, that is very distant from the exhaust and also more exposed to the wind. In my opinion if u add an external mic placed in the backpack (so closer to the exhaust and more repaired from the wind) is a better option. I also heard that mediamod has some problems and sometimes it doesn’t record the audio. One good thing of the mediamod is that u can attach a wireless mic on it (the receiver on the mediamod and the mic in the backpack) and this allows u have the audio track directly recorded on the GoPro clip so u don’t have to edit it in post to synchronize it like I do with the iPhone.

Yes I did, but I didn’t like the result

It’s a cat delete, basically is a straight pipe that allow u to remove the catalytic converter and it gives to your bike more sound and power. (U need to remap the ecu if u gonna mount it)

I did a specific map on the dyno thanks to a motorcycle preparer, but u can also go with UpMap

I tried a lot of time and had to delete a lot of useless video because of the wind (wind is the main problem cuz of course the iPhone doesn’t have a dead cat on top like a professional mic to reduce the wind so is very hard to get a clean clip) Basically sometimes luckily the wind is inaudible.

I asked that in another video. We need to see how them bar end mirrors are mounted with them hand guards .
