First I heard of this model. It's similar to the NorthEdge cyber tank watch that I own in that it's also "open heart". I think they quite unique and a fun watch.

I'm so glad you placed the Citizen right next to the Bulova 98A284 as it helped to show the size difference between the two. I'm actually tossing up between the exact two models! The 40mm diameter on the Citizen would be a better fit for my small wrist compared to the 42mm on the Bulova. Thank you!

Hey how easy was removing the logo from the dial? Did it leave marks? I was hoping to just delete the brand name and leave it blank

The design is nice, but the finishing looks kinda cheap, especially around the edges of the case with visible burrs.

I don't believe you researched enough. I have a GA-B2100. I ordered a gold case/black bezel ring with black rubber strap with a quick release buckle for $32. Would have been twice that amount on Amazon, 3 or 4 times with SKXmods. Supposed to take 12 days but arrived in 5, US west coast. It came with two screwdrivers and extra screws and the watch band was already attached to the case. All that remained was to drop the watch into the case and secure it with 4 screws. AliExpress's web site lacks much info IMO and I ordered without expecting much but frankly, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase, I just love it.

I like this one so much. I am also after the Bulova Marine Star and some Orient, all of them are Open Heart. But none of them are Perfect. The Orient and Citizen are W.R 50 M if they were 100 m it would be AWESOME. The Bulova is 200 m but isn't Sapphire. So for now i am more into this Citizen. I will keep searching for 5 days and if i do not find something better at this price it will be the Citizen NH9130-84L

Thanks for the review, I just purchase the same watch but with the blue dial and paid 199 Aud on special. It’s my first automatic as I like good quartz and solar as they are lighter and less needy. I also bought the Bulova classic quartz 38mm 96b149 and it’s a little beauty only cost 129 Aud. I feel that the open heart surveyor would better suit 40mm dia. Still for the price I’m happy, cheers

Not to mention these automatic variants of the Tongji movement aren't true to standard, because I found out the hard way they're too thick for the OG watches that use the movement (Shanghai 7120). They're pretty decent and within China the movements can be found for under $5. Great to practice tinkering with mechanical movements just in case you screw something up lol.

Nice! Skmei/or any other casio homages to Casio mods are actually a pretty brilliant idea gives you more room to play around with mods. Hope you'll do more videos on the subject in future. I bought one out of couriosity to see what $3.75 could get you. Received on black leatherette strap {( swapped for nato ) and I couldn’t believe it and I smiled 🤣 actually keeping time and looks good indoors. Outdoors ok from distance but on close inspection dial face looks like paper 🍻 cheers

As of my knowledge this watch doesn’t have a sapphire crystal, unfortunately.

Real Citizen watches usually suffer from cluttered dials. Hard to avoid with a chronometer, of course. I have a Satellite Wave with so much rubbish on the dial that it’s hard to read the time. I hope that the simplicity of Citizen’s top-end JDM models will spread… but I doubt that it will. It’s so easy for the makers of knockoffs to copy the clutter.

I got a similar model and put a better metal bracelet on it and it actually looks real good.
