Im 53 and bored.. Am I too old to jump into this sport? Spent most of my last 45 years on a motocross track racing 2 strokes (Kx) go green baby .. anyway .. I’ve got the time and money .. but real quick.. How dangerous is it really ? What’s the best high performance entry level kart? Shifter or no ? (I vote yes , but I have made bad decisions before !! If it started to rain would they stop the race? Would everyone make a pit stop and swap out tires? Obviously this guy is wayyy above most veteran drivers but how much time does a guy expect to put into the sport before he can drive with this skill ? Thank you my friends .. cheers .. Colorado ! Also how much will the Colorado altitude choke out these karts .. assuming same as it does a kx 125 moto bike ?

Kart got some top end poke, from what I can see 70% of the drivers cant drive at high speed probably over cautious and scared, the ones with the big balls end up at the front comment from an ex ICC racer :)

It becomes obvious as to why he gets passed by soo many at the beginning of the race and how he’s able to play catchup during the race besides really good driving. His Kart is geared for a higher speed. True he is gaining advantage from drafting but to get into a draft you have to be within a certain distance. So it’s drafting plus high speed gearing. Clearly either him and/or his team knew what the right gearing was in order to win the race or at least finish near the top.

RB7? I saw STR5/6/7 or maybe STR1 because it sounds like V10.

Must be hard to shift in bumpy and drifting situations and not lose control when in the last parts of the race drained of strength in hand and arms.

When you have the fastest car on the track and you know it. Let them all pass you on lap 1, and then pick them off... FUN FUN FUN!!! But it seems like cheating somehow?? it's like you have 100 hp and everybody else has 50 hp? Plus I see well over 2 Gs in a hard breaking corner.

Wow Im blown away man. Takes big nuts and lotsa skill to run one of those nice job. Wondered if mirrors would help see behind but might vibrate so bad its a waste? Ignore the troll comments, probably from kids playing video games thinking this is easy Shoulda got into this instead of old cars, lots more fun! Are there any classes that use any kind of suspension or would it add too much weight, cost etc. Love to take a few laps just once...pay up my insurance first!

Stupid question probably, so forgive my ignorance, but why no flappy pedal shifters on the steering wheel or steering column? Seems that would be much faster than the handle that's being used here? If they're steering wheel-mounted, it would also mean you wouldn't have to let go of the wheel to shift. Is it due to regulations? Or some other, technical reason? Or am I perhaps mistaken and it wouldn't be faster? In any case, that was some awesome racing, wow those are some high speeds with such a small vehicle. Awesome to watch, truly, you have some serious skill. Takes guts as well to go that fast in a vehicle that doesn't offer all that much protection, which means it's mostly skill that's keeping you safe

awesome watch. When you say "engine oiled up".. assume this is a two stroke thing, but what does it mean? Cadwell must be theee best track for something like that.. flows so nicely
