Piper gave me some of my favorite holiday memories. Years later on Monday Nitro he'd give a promo reminding everyone 'don't ever forget, Christmas is someone's birthday'. The man truly had a heart of gold.

The 80s were a great time even though we didn't have much of anything, we still had the hope that something big would happen, and that was always a good thing. People weren't hating each other about politics and most people were genuinely nice folks. We weren't afraid to sing songs about God or Jesus on TV and I think we have lost sight of that, since we were slammed with media overload, the kids don't get the Christmas specials like we always looked forward to. We watched Charlie Brown, Rudolph, and Frosty every single year and we constantly watched the commercials to see if an item we wanted would be shown. I am trying hard to create that magic feeling for my kid so that he has amazing Christmas memories to take with him and pass on to his kids one day. Thank you for sharing this! 1984 was a great year, and even the Macy's parade wasn't controversial and it kicked off the Christmas season when Santa came down the lane. I have most of these movies on a hard drive and I try to watch them with my family to keep those magical moments alive. I'm a big kid myself and I love re-living things through the movies. One day I bought my favorite cereal as a kid and put on a 6 hour cartoon marathon and we watched cartoons on a Saturday morning.

Something people dont talk about relative to Die Hard being a Christmas movie is that the villain's name is Hans Gruber and the composer of Silent Night was Franz Gruber. I believe this was on purpose.

This might have been the year that I got a 7800 for Christmas me and my little brother got a 7800 that is. And my cousins came over after that and we told them that we got the 7800 and they just did not give a damn because they got them NES why in the world did my parents get us a 7800 when the NES was all the rage like what the f. It's just I guess because my older brothers had the 2600 and had all those games and it was backwards compatible I'm sure my older brothers had something to do with talk in my parents and to get in the 7800 what a bunch of freaking you don't whats.... Nincompoops.

Thanks for the recommendation on this one. We didn't enjoy it as much when it first came out (honestly never finished it) but upon giving it another chance after seeing you video, we really enjoyed it! The stop motion was excellent as well!
