The "Alley" at night and the best tour of Glencoe on YouTube.
Starts off with a ride down Titty Alley, which was filmed before the rally started otherwise there would be a lot of blurs, followed by a full tour of Glencoe in Sturgis. Enjoy.

    I did mine yesterday on our Coachmen Catalina RV. I have to say, I was amazed at how much the old grease had broken down from the last time I did this. It was like 40 weight oil coming out. I'm glad I did this. We are getting ready to take a cross country trip in our RV and I could almost bet if I hadn't lubed my bearings, I would of had a problem somewhere with a burned up bearing. I have done my wheel bearings using the Dexter E-Z lube system and never had an issue with a rear sealing blowing out. I think some people don't take their time and keep pumping and pumping grease and not turning the wheel. I take my time and like I said, I've never had a problem. So glad I did mine before this long trip we are about to take. Nice video and very clear. Thank you for posting!!

    • @blinkerfluidgarage
      @blinkerfluidgarage 4 месяца назад

      Thanks for the kinds words. Yeah, the people that blow the seals out just keep pumping the grease in. It's gotta go somewhere and the seal is the weakest point. We're headed out on a 3500 mile trip later this summer so I pulled the wheels, repacked the bearings and replaced the seals. I posted that video about three month ago.

    And unlike a unreliable motorcycle, you don't have too be constantly tuning the carb or mixing oil/gas, changing out spark plugs, adjusting throttle and clutch levers. you know your bike will just work.

    • @blinkerfluidgarage
      @blinkerfluidgarage 4 месяца назад

      Well, unless you're referring to a two stroke dirt bike, my motorcycle is fuel injected so there's no carb tuning, it's a four stroke so no mixing of oil and gas. I only change the plugs when it's needed, maybe every two years, I've never had to adjust the throttle or clutch cable, and it's very reliable, it just works. All of my dirt bikes have been reliable as well. Only blew two up over 40 years but they were racing bikes, they're gonna blow up. Yep, my ebike goes great until it doesn't. A few hours of recharge later and it goes again. It's a lot of fun to rip around the campgrounds on. I'm really happy with it.

    Hows about just running a 1/4" steel tube under your rear fender, (to the end), and running a line from the "T" fitting to it? Done this PCV method for decades with great success, "NO MORE RESIDUAL OIL ON YOUR REAR TIRE OR YOUR ENGINE!"

    Not a bad idea for sure but the worm drive clamps look janky- the constant tension clamps(at least where visible) would've looked much cleaner, besides i doubt they need to be all that tight.

    • @blinkerfluidgarage
      @blinkerfluidgarage Год назад

      Thanks for the thumbs up! I appreciate it. It's not for catching fumes as much as it's for catching the bit of oil that's usually sent back into the cylinders to be burned again. It's doing a really good job.

    Why not just drill two holes on one side of the filter to allow it to breathe and just run the 2 hoses into the catchcan/gas filter ,one on each end ?

  • @ketobeast8489
    @ketobeast8489 Год назад

    Little bit of steel wool at the bottom of can works well. I have DIY catch cans on all my vehicles and they catch a ton of blow by. I used to have one on my Dyna but I removed it and now just vent to the atmosphere because the hose from the front kept getting clogged. It worried me that the pulses from front and rear feeding to the T fitting were fighting against eachother causing the front to get clogged and rear to drain. So I decided to vent to atmosphere and it works great. Not that much even comes out and I just have a little rag I wipe it with occasionally, never gets on my leg, pipes or bags so I’m rockin it like that. I filled the factory holes inside the throttle body with black silicone and smoothed off so air doesn’t get trapped in the little holes for most efficient air flow.

    I made a similar one for my 2013 Road Glide, 2 holes are plenty for it to breathe, I have 4 holes in my cap too, so I'm gonna put another cap on mine with only 2 holes drilled into it. I have to clean between my lifter blocks a couple of time a week so I'm gonna put a fuel filter in my catch can to see how that'll work. Thanks.

    • @blinkerfluidgarage

      Works great. I tossed the filter because it would need to be cleaned or it would clog. Now I just unscrew it and dump any oil out and screw it back on.
