Tabernacle Chapel Haverfordwest has got to be one of the finest chapels in Wales - a remarkable interior with that colonnade above the gallery, and beautiful wrought iron fretwork to the gallery fronts. An unusual apse behind the pulpit too - a feature more associated with churches.

A pleasure to hear Mr Swales again although it does make me feel old! I remember his Music Shop in St Mary's St. and the popular recording of the time by Aker Bilk.

I remember well Helen Watts in the mid-50s (before she trained Professionally) singing 'Solos' at Albany Chapel Haverfordwest. Glorious Voice even then, marked out for an illustrious career. Also remember her Dad's Watts' Chemist in Market Street, and the Green, Green Tunics of Tasker's Girls School... but that's another story! Such a pleasurable memories. Thanks Pat.

I’m sure I saw my friend Mrs Swales, she used to be Dr Owen’s receptionist at the older surgery building in Winch Lane.

Looks like the linking road over to the Churnworks Roundabout is being built at this time as well.

It would be good to get some stills off this video and show the Drill Hall and Kwik Save for the Honey Harfat group on Facebook.

if she could see it now she would be heart broken these old buildings should be protected and kept originally as they are not knocked down or turned into flats or something else what they did to that old crypt was disgusting could bring so much money to this town keep the history of the buildings and make them open to the public

If my memory serves me correctly Joffre played the flute and I played the guitar, Billy Ronan often played the bass in our little ensembles. It was a lovely time and Joffre had a big impact on my musical life. Thank you Joffre. Paul.

I am in love with this video! I'm always curious to see how my hometown looked in the recent past. It's so mesmerising to see a place I love and recognise so well, yet not quite because it was so different. A lot of road works and construction going on because things arent complete yet. And buildings that aren't around anymore. And how the shops were different too. I loveit!!
