April 2023: My trip continues as I travel all the way down to to the southern tip of Kyushu to explore Ibusuki, a town in the Satsuma peninsula. There I did a Sunaburo (砂風呂), or sand. bath, where you can get buried in hot volcanic sand. Rumors have circulated that the creator of this video does not actually speak Japanese. I think it’s sufficient to say that if the next video doesn’t include a monologue by David Adler in Japanese with English subtitles, he does not speak the language.
