I remember my sister bringing home this exact record when I was 12 or 13. She was a year older. She had met the band. They cut this record but I don't think they ever made it. It's now 2024, I'm 70 and find this song timeless. Would love to know more....anyone out there know more?

WOW , you just hit upon one of my finds from 2 years ago , i love this track by “ No Compromise “ it doesn’t let up the groove . I’m the guy that told you last year i think to get the album by the “ Artistics “ on the Artistic label , they have a very soulful Message ballad “ Leave it to the people “ , the guy on lead sounds like Leon Redbone !!!

I own a similar CD that features my queen LTD and it's called European Hits. None of the songs from that CD contains any songs sang by her and were sang by original artists. Oh, and if anyone wants to buy one of the 45's I have a few left.

I play the tenor solo and soprano on the finale soli. We played the clubs in Seattle in the 80's. This 45 was recorded at Crow Studios in Wallingford in 1982 or thereabouts. We played the same clubs as Robert Cray and I thought, shit if he can't make it, what's the point. Well he did make it and rightly so. Peter Collins, Heemstede, The Netherlands P.S. We received a call from A&M records based on this 45 but sadly it led to nothing.
