The reason it is locked is because Variants can only be obtained when you buy the bundle. If you buy the skin only, you will not get the other colors associated with it. Bundles are also time limited.

Yeah of course! So I started with Lifebinder for survivability. Countess is not a ranged hero so I need to play safe until level 6. Once I reach level 6 and I have my first item,I can now fight the enemy midlane. Lifebinder now offers mana to spam my abilities, more magical lifesteal than before and more damage and lifesteal the less health I have. Also if I get takedowns throughout the match, I get more lifesteal from countess passive. Then I would build Noxia, which is a burst item version of megacosm. With this item, you can teleport with countess and your next ability will deal more damage. This item also has a lot of ability haste to spam your abilities. After this it depends what the enemies team is doing. If they have tanks, you can build Cáustica. If you want to Rome the map more you can build wraith leggings. If you want more survivability with damage, you can build spirit of amir. Countess can’t really one shot people anymore since she got scaling nerfs but, she now heals more and I think building items to make her heal more is the way to go. Don’t get me wrong, she still deals a lot of damage but I focus on survivability and ability haste first so that I can secure kills on my second encounter/2nd wave of abilities. Hope this helps.
