There is really not much savings in income tax with Disability Tax Credit. One may save between $1,500 and $2,000 income tax per year. I much rather prefer to have good health than anything else.
It's not a choice for a lot of people. This is a huge help when your ability to hold a job long term is affected by a disability.
@@mawderation In order to be able to use the Disability Tax Credit, you have to be paying income tax first. Otherwise, the DTC is absolutely useless.
@@kaml.7341 did you watch the video? With a RDSP the gov contributes 1000/year. Plus, being markedly restricted by a disability does not mean you cannot make any money at all. You can continue to work when you can and the DTC will help reduce your income tax. Furthermore, your unused tax credit amount can be transferred to family who support you.
My bff was attacked online and I have screenshots from the chat, they basically told her They would kill her cat and other stuff, do I report it?
I'm being threatened and blackmailed
Nice words that I can appreciate in many ways... Your an inspiration . X
I’m being bullied intimidated and mentally emotionally physically picked on i need help I’m terrified
Sounds like your a victim of narcissists .
Is "Third Part Reporting" like a Red Flag Law? Is this another official name for it; "Red Flag Law?"
I have Muscular Dystrophy and I get threatened and harassed often. Because I am a man, the police won't listen or help me. .. Going out to do laundry and shop is difficult for me because of these dangers.
@Kam Hung Chung .. Tell us, what is your monthly income and rent?
What is the base monthly income on PWD now? How much rent and utilities do you pay? .. Always tell people these numbers. ..
Thank you so much for this......
You do not have closed captions...
The asset limit will only really help people that are applying for PWD now. Does me no good. And for those that have family that are able to financially help, that's great, but again, what good does that do for somebody whose family is unable to financially help them. I had a minimum wage part time job but when my boss sold the business, I was laid off. The new employer was not understanding about how to make my disability an asset like my old employer was and so it wasn't a good match for me. I applied for EI because I could. Now the government is taking my EI off my PWD and I cant afford to live. I'm now at a huge risk of homelessness as I have pets and they are my only family and while my one dog probably could be certified as an assistance dog, I don't know how to go about that and she is 8 years old. They are the only family I have. I'm not getting a lot from EI, but why cant that come off the AEE rather than it automatically coming off my PWD? I lost my job through no fault of my own and am looking for another job but this time of year, its really hard. I work with a career councillor but it has to be a job I am capable of doing. I am capable of working, but it has to be the right environment and the right hours. That extra few hundred dollars a month would make a huge difference to my independence, health and wellbeing. But sadly, they don't care. I want to be independent and in a lot of ways, I can be but in a lot of ways my independence is hard to maintain and now I'm faced with this additional barrier to my independence. It makes me feel overwhelmed and discouraged that nobody seems to care and that I'm left out in the cold, literally.
Can I transfer my AiSH form Alberta to disability assistance in bc.
@kohanagold . There used to be a group on Facebook for people on BC PWD. Everybody there was on PWD, as I was. We agreed that the Ministry's function was to punish us. The hundreds of people on PWD that I knew, in my area, were over 50 years old. None of them could work. 5 years ago we were getting $907/month. What is the monthly base rate now? . I was always on the minimum base rate and got no crisis grants or clothing grants. The food bank was no help. 25 years ago, I volunteered at the food bank. We gave away expired stuff that was mostly not edible. .. . Dentistry was a big problem. If you were crippled and had bad teeth, you suffered. I suffered terribly. My face kept swelling up from abscessed teeth. Dentists in my town would not take people on PWD. . *What is the base monthly income on PWD now?* How much rent and utilities do you pay? I turned 65 so I'm on the old age money now. I get $1650/month from the Federal Gov. My rent and utilities is $600/month now.
who on earth has this type of money when on PWD?
. What is your monthly income on PWD now? How much rent and utilities do you pay? .. Always tell people these numbers. .. . @Leonora Gregory-Collura .. If you are on PWD the Ministry is ridiculing you by these changes that do not help you. .. *The Ministry hates you and is punishing you* .. (I know because I got inside the NDP Party and read a lot of secret information)
No one this is all a lie
