You can. Open your item menu. If you select an item, a grey symbol (grey hand) appears near the menu. Drag the item on that symbol, drop it and it appears on your teammates side 👍🏻

all ally pieces' ability damage turns into pure damage and the damage caused will not restore the enemy's Mana. I haven't tried it using mage pieces, in the video I tried fox swordsman and it worked, the damage ability becomes pure damage, looks like this is unbeatable and should be nerfed.
