Cytotoxin @ Death Metal Nacht (Kasseturm Weimar)
That's pretty ingenious and I didn't anyone could build something like that and sound as great as it does. Granted it's Wes Borland, he'd sound awesome with a beater of a guitar. It's the player most of the time. Would love to play something like that.
LOL at his "completely authentic acoustic sound" that sounds NOTHING like an acoustic.
I don’t know shit about guitars but I can listen to Wes talking about guitars and playing riffs all day
Does anyone know of a guitar that can be purchased in modern day that replicates some of what this guitar can do? I don't play guitar but I would love to learn on something like this.
I love the sound of the bass in this song. It's almost like a drum. Heavy and powerful. You guys can't comprehend what I felt when I discovered that people think it's trash
5:30 straight terrorist shit
When did people start hating this, shit still rules.
Bela Ligosi is dead
Chino and JD!
POMPE MET DIE SUBWOOFER
Genius level!
3:43 what a song?
Limp Bizkit - Don't go off wandering off of Significant other. track #8
Pete Davison should have stuck with music.
Чувак по прежнему крут как ираньше!!!
I use to hang out with fieldy & go clubbing with him. Jons really quiet but cool af.
I was listening to freak on a leash and was what the hell is that sound, I immediately associates it with a bass after deep listening…turns out I was right
Is there any live recording where he uses this guitar?
Yeah, a few from the 90s
@@JackCarver10 any specifics?
he used this on several tracks on the Significant Other album.
wild to hear the My Way riff yearssss before Chocolate Starfish was made.
I would do bad things for that guitar. It’s a masterpiece.
I would let YOU do bad things to me to lend it for a few days.
HOLY FUCK
quality is all that matters in music ... the rest is for sale . 1% of people knows the difference in the cymbals , in the microphones ... etç. mp3 svcks , vinyl rocks ! nice upload man ...
At 1:15 he plays the riff that would become the bridge in “my way” that’s amazing 😮❤
This is groovy as fu
ANYONE WITH ANY KIND OF MUSICAL TRAINING CAN SEE RIGHT AWAY THIS DUDE DONT KNOW SHIT AND IS NOT A REAL MUSICIAN
weird thing to say considering he has numerous albums under his belt, and tours for a living lol. cool edgy opinion man.
@@cameroncorrosive925 for real. Millions of records sold and Money made would argue other wise, right?
One of my favorite bass tones ever. So clanky.
I don't support what fieldy did, but listening to these tracks is definitely addictive
What did Fieldy do?
Masterpiece
Sounds a bit like Tool ??
I was thinking the same thing
I luv limp bizkit...
Limp bizkit is a perfect storm...😊
The interesting thing about Fieldy’s bass parts are that they are so simple, yet has elements that would take a lot of practice to execute
What makes this awesome is the synergy between David and Fieldy. It gives Korn their unique sound and groove. At the time, no one had this sound with such groove. Sure, there was Primus, but I can’t dance to Primus.
He's incredibly underrated... great balance of technical and brutal.
Truly authentic
Who in their right mind would dislike this?
My grandmother was a classically trained musician. I played Korn for her once and she said, “the bass sounds like farting.”
2024... ❤❤
Many, many people around my age (mid 30's) picked up a guitar because of this legend. Still going strong today...I salute you, sir.
To me his tone seemed like it was meant to mimic the bass systems in the early 90’s it would rattle the license plate and trunk in general. If one drove by you would hear the bass and everyone is hit you would here a buzz with it
talent right there
Whats crazy is i do believe hes got a 7 string tuned to c# which is really weird
The high c# is there twice
Correct, I actually use a similar tuning, but adjusted a little bit. Low to high I tune B-F#-B-E-G#-C#-F#. which is basically the "drop D" version of his tuning.
2024
LOVEEEEW WES BORLAND!!!!! IM INTRIGUED BY HIM! I dont know anything about guiitars, specs or whatever HOWEVER HIS STORY DRAWS ME IN SEEMS COOL AS HELL!!! YOURE A TREASURE!! I ONLY APPRECIATED HIM ..... LIMP BIZKIT IS NOTHING WITHOUT WES BORLAND!!! AND HE DESERVES BETTER!!!! -BIGGEST WES BORLAND FAN GIRL WHO SEES HIS WORTH & CALLED MARYLIN MANSON OUT!!!! KINGGGGGGGGG AND A CLASSY GENTLEMAN ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!!!!
That guitar! Brilliant, I want one! Wes Borland is a criminally under rated guitarist! One of a kind, the real deal
Damn he sucks whas that at the end
Fuck anybody that hates on fieldy
How much are these going for on the used market?
Idk why everyone hates this guy, I think he has one of the most unique bass tones ever
I mean he really does, I think people think he's bad because he's not playing the most 'technical' stuff on bass. But for real though, he is the perfect bassist for Korn and for that, that makes him a great bass player
Thanks for the amazing music Wes! Music that shaped a generation.. my generation
I worked security at a limp bizkit concert in Dallas one year in the early 2010’s. I had never seen one of their live shows before. They turned the place into pure anarchy. Never seen anything like it before or since. The crowd jumped the barricade and most of the security guys just said F it and enjoyed the show. It was incredible. I’ve seen a lot of bands play…i’d say I saw a pretty good percentage of the rock bands of the last 30 years (never got to see pantera) Limp Bizkit and the Melvins stick out in my mind as the best concerts i’ve seen.
