Just going by memory & general knowledge, several of McCarthy’s factual assertions check out. His sketch of the COMINTERN is basically solid. And it has gradually emerged that his central thesis was on point: we were, in fact, up to our asses in reds. Was Murrow one of them? Who knows? But he sure as hell wasn’t helping.
